Pros: Works in '19 "new" RAM with Samsung Galaxy S21, works just as well as wired. Setup is easy. Leave it plugged in for weeks, won't drain the battery. 99% of the time, your phone connects within 5 seconds of you turning the car electric on. Get in the car, plop phone in the charging mat, no more plugging in wires. Cons: 1% of the time, it takes a while for it to connect (maybe 30 seconds), so it starts playing the radio until it finds the phone. Other info: This won't make your Android Auto "full screen" take up the whole big screen. This isn't designed or made by Motorola. In fact it has nothing to do with Motorola. It's designed and made by a Taiwanese company who paid to use the Motorola brand. Not that I care, it works well. Annoying to plug my phone in everytime, kinda wastes the convenience of the wireless charging pad. So I got this. Voila, exactly what I wanted. Had it for about a year now, I just leave it plugged in the car, use it pretty much everyday, works every time. I use one of the USB ports right under the center console screen, just dangling there. Doesn't smack anything under cornering or braking and it sits right next to the wireless phone charger. Picks up the phone about 10 seconds after you turn the electricity on.

Good luck doing a factory reset. It was working marvelously for a while and then it stopped working. The motorola support webpage says to hold down the pairing button (only button on the adapter) but it never changes from a solid red color. Can't factory reset it. This is actually my replacement. Guess what happened to my first one? Yup, it stopped working, tried factor resetting and nothing. Motorola sent me a free replacement. This second one is doing the same thing. Unfortunately, can't recommend it if it stops working and can't factory reset, so it becomes dead weight.

I use my phone to pull work orders for my job and use Android Auto to directly pull up my GPS by touching the address on my phone. Using my phone to take certain required pictures for insurance and plugging my phone in over and over had started to loosen the charging port connection.I researched a solution and found this adapter and decided to give it a try. Set up was very quick and simple. Changed my car mount to a wireless charge mount and now all do is grab my phone do what I need to do get back in my car set my phone in its holder and move on. Android Auto connects quickly and is always connected by the time I pull up my next work order. The only con is the double sided tape provided is garbage and does not stick at all. I havent had a vehicle with wireless android auto built in, only wired, so i cant compare but i would hope that what i experience doesn't happen by design. I bought two of these. (2 different cars) I constantly get disconnects or glitching audio which i assume is borderline disconnects. Ive tried putting them in diferent places such as right next to the phone, in glove compartment to try to avoid outside interference, i even put it under the seat one time. Sometimes it works for a while other times its just awful. Ive tried re-pairing my phone to it. I wish i wasnt past the return period. I never leave bad reviews but i bought two of these and same experience with both. When it works, it's great, just so unreliable. Bought this for my 2023 Kia Forte. Worked very well for about 8 months, but recently I've had it constantly dropping connection multiple times during a 30min drive. My phone says Android Auto is connected, but the light on the adapter keeps blinking green and it never registers on my car. Wired Android Auto (using the same port) works flawlessly, so I know its not the car. Im guessing its an overheating issue even though I keep a sun shade on my windshield when I'm parked, so it should be protected from direct sunlight. It is possible my USB port supplies power even when the car is off, so having to unplug/plug in the adapter kinda defeats the purpose of the product for me. 4* overall because it worked great for the better part of a year. I'd recommend getting an extended warranty in store so you can swap it out if/when it dies on you.
I'm not sure why I didn't think about getting one of these sooner! My 2019 Chevy Silverado doesn't have wireless android auto or apply play, but this device made it possible! I keep it plugged in and it seemlessly connects on its own and within seconds. The only thing I have to do is physically press android auto on the truck's radio headunit. The sticky pad that is provided is more of a slip resistant pad than a sticky pad. I had to replace with a 3M doublesided tape, but thats fine with me. I was happy I purchased the device, not the sticky pad that's complimentary in my eyes.
I really love having wireless android auto, and this device works flawlessly 95% of the time. I have had 2 of these die, one after approx 3 years of use, and one after 10 months of use. Warranty took care of the 2nd one (after calling/chatting. The motorola agent seemed confused and didn't know this was even something they make. Got me to the right person in the audio department.)Other than the obvious failures, the connection is stable and audio is clear. Couldn't tell a difference between wired and wireless using this adapter.
I jave a Hyandai Santa Fe 2023 that only has plug in Android Auto. The Pros, your phone is free to be plugged wherever when ever. I dont have to i itiate it tIt automatically starts. Music and navigation work pretty well like in other OEM wireless android auto vehicles. The biggest PRO is that I can now use any other charging port in my car. Using the wired android auto it caused my phone to use myOre power than was able to be charged. It would die over time of it stayed on Android Auto.Cons: delayed audio. Calls are delayed causing people on the other end to not understand you and the conversation is completely off. Audio from any shows or movies watch by passengers is off by 2 seconds or so.It has connectivity issues, it will randomly disconnect. But still happens. It comes back each time more of an annoyance if yourwaiting for a critical gps turn or call switching to speaker or handset.Overall for what i paid, 44ish. Its great will keep this as i passed my return window. And now i can charge my phone while using android auto. While the cons may seem big its not bad enough for me not to use it.Cons
I bought the M1A in May of 2023. I am writing this in May of 2024. I have had this thing for nearly a year and it worked flawlessly until yesterday. The unit will connect to my car and if I am lucky it will stay connected for a minute and then it will stop working and never connect again until the car shuts off. I've had interference issues and this isn't one of them. I tried a second unit from my wife's car (another purchase I am regretting) and it works fine. This one is broke.I've spent the last hour trying to get in touch with Motorola customer support, but it is impossible to find direct support. The best thing that you're going to get is an online form.In closing, don't buy this junk. You might want to look into AAwireless as an alternative.
Not sure if it is just my unit, but it works well for about 20 minutes, then starts cutting out all the time. I got it because cables always wear out in a few weeks when using wired.I don't have it pinned down and I have it hanging so it gets ventilation on all sides. The occasional skip for my usually less than 30 minute drives, but when I took a road trip recently (sadly after the return period) after the first 45 minutes it would cut out constantly and reboot itself. It would cut out every 40-45 seconds for a bit, like a skipping CD, then would reboot every few minutes seconds and then about every 15 it would reboot I didn't have a cable with me either just my build in wireless charger.I'm still using it and it "skips" about every other time I'm in the ... MoreNot sure if it is just my unit, but it works well for about 20 minutes, then starts cutting out all the time. I park in the garage so it's not starting out from a hot car sitting in the sun.It works for my local trips but need to find one for the once every 3 months trip I take out of state.
