Motorola Pav00088au Edge 30 Neo Very Peri 8/128GB

I have a strong hsitory with Motorola, going all the way back to the StarTac flip phone, original Razr, Moto X, Moto X2, Motorola Atrix. I switched to Samsung with Galaxy 9 and loved the hardware, just not a fan of Samsung ecosystem. Went to the Motorola edge (not plus) and loved it, but it was so tall and the mid grade specs aged quickly. Recently come from Pixel 6 which is a fantastic phone with obviously one of the best cameras. Love the Google specific Android features. However, I love the Motorola OS. Almost stock android, with moto specific features. This phone is smaller than pixel 6 (slightly), lighter, and I love the moto big three specific features- shake for flashlight, twist for camera, and the peek display. I also like the curved screen (this one is awesome). I miss the edge mini shortcuts of the original edge, but not a big deal. Camera looks sloppy compared side by side with pixel, but most do and after getting rid of pixel, the pictures look great on this phone. Hardware is awesome- fast, plenty of storage for me (256mb). All day use for me (not a heavy user) leaves me with about 35-45% battery and it charges FAST. 68W charger gets me from 35% to 100 in about 30 mins. Cons- it is almost impossible to find tempered glass screen protector and cases can be hard to come by that don't some up too far on the edge of curved screen and interfere with screen protector. Comes with case from Motorola (clear only) and it is hard plastic. The corners of my case are already cracking after 1 month (I rarely drop my phone and never from any distance)and a piece by the USB-C port is broken. I wish they offered TPU case similar to the one that shipped with original edge, and in a smoke color, not clear.

UX even more clean than the hyped Pixel phones, great battery, really nothing short of flagship (maybe apart from the IP rating, but not bothering under light rain, tested today ^⁠_⁠^), and has a surprisingly useful desktop mode! It also comes with a charger that by itself has a huge value (125W great also for laptops etc). I upgraded from a Huawei that has served me very well and although it still works the battery is failing.This new Motorola Edge 30 Ultra has been amazing so far. I got it on offer from JL. I really can't see why anyone would want to spend more when this phone is so highly capable at this price point.- Rapid charging in about 15 minutes. So quick in fact you have to be careful that you don't leave it plugged in for too long.- Battery Life. With the power saver function on the battery easily lasts me over 2 days with moderate use (the phone is turned off at night).- Camera. A flat screen might be slightly preferable but the curved one is fine also.Overall, this is excellent value and highly recommend.
