I per-ordered this phone as soon as it came available, being a previous Razr 5G user for nearly 3 years without a single screen issue unlike friends who had the flip 4. I was confident that this was gonna be worth getting as soon as it was available. As tech reviewers have pointed out the outer display is so nice and useful you could almost get away with never opening the phone if you wanted. For messaging people back, browsing the web quickly, checking emails, or watching a quick stream you don't need to open this phone at all. When you do need to open it is a lovely display with a crease that is almost unnoticeable unless tilted in the light just right and the hinge feels super sturdy plus having official dust protection unlike other foldables is a nice bonus. ... Picked this up this morning and I love it. You can do pretty much anything on the external screen. Apps, games, text, phone calls, anything. Pictures are not as good as the Pixel 7Pro, but they are very good and much easier to use. The internal screen looks amazing and has an up to 165 refresh rate. Be aware that it comes with a screen saver on the internal screen and adding another one voids the warranty. I find I am using it closed frequently. Compact and convenient.

Loving the moto razr plus. They improved on the Samsung fold 4 and added sexy back to 'cellphone'. Does not dissappoint. I can read emails and reply. Texts and reply. Control my music. Etc. All without opening the phone. As slim as the original razr.

Coming from a Flip 4 this is my thoughts using the phone for a couple daysPros° screen is great! The refresh is dynamic so it hovers around 120hz (165hz is in game mode only) the crease is visible but not as bad as the flip and the screen is also wider so it's easy to type kinda like a candy bar style phone, front screen is also very smooth love the front screen launches full screen apps with ez and extremely responsive and customizable!° rear cameras are good for what they are , very similar to the flip 4 camera° Software has a couple random bugs but breath of fresh air coming from Samsung UI feels too crowded . This has a vanilla feel Software with a couple added goodies but nothing too crazy° battery life is actually decent very similar to the flip 4 maybe ... This has a vanilla feel Software with a couple added goodies but nothing too crazy° battery life is actually decent very similar to the flip 4 maybe even a little better without all the Samsung services running will get most people thru a full day.Cons° first big con is the hinge , coming from Samsung hinges it's a completely different feeling , and not in a good way my first flip out of the box there was a grinding feeling like it had a rusty hinge that hasn't been used , I felt it on a couple demos I saw but some don't have it so it's maybe luck of draw, but Ive had time to try to break in the hinge and it's not getting any better. One of the roughest hinges I've ever felt even before Samsung put bristles in there hinges.° build quality, if the phone is flipped in tripod mode the top and bottom part of the screen is wobbly it feels like screws that aren't tight , and will even have a creak to it, also the frame paint scratches very easy.° last is adding to build but the top part of the phone has a rattle it feels and sounds cheap as a cell phone tech myself it seems like the cameras for the main sensor is not glued into place and slapping against the internal mid plate and causing a rattle noise every time it's open or closed normally , almost all the demos I've seen has the same issue hopefully it's something that fixed in the assembly process , I've also tried to remove the sim tray because it used to be a similar issue on the older ones but it has the rattle with nothing else attached to it.° proximity sensor isn't very accurate, and sometimes doesn't even work . It is maybe a software fix but it seems to be a trend with moto , OnePlus etc even sometimes when it does dim the screen it still presses while the screen is offOverall the phone is ok , the pros are a improvement , but the cons for long term usability may be limited , and if your paying $999 for a device and it has questionable build quality than it might be worth to wait another generation , see what the flip 5 has in store or wait for moto to fix there QC issues
Dont listen to the two 1 star reviews. They dont know what they are talking about. The phone is great even without having the brand newest processor available. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is nothing to laugh at or be concerned about. Moto did this phone right and is going to make the market very competitive this year. And this is coming a guy with an S22 ultra and S23 ultra. Take it from a Samung guy... the phone is good.
I don't quite understand why Motorola is selling this phone it's got old processor old screen everything in the phone is old this phone was out in China 2 years ago. It just changed it slightly and reintroduced it to the United States of America to sell to people that are just gullible and ridiculously not intelligent on high-tech
Two days into using this phone, its great. This is my first motorola phone bit the software has almost a 100% google feel which i enjoy, no bloatware like samsung phones and OneUI. The screen is bright and bold, decent saturation. The haptics are "okay" but to be expected on a flip phone. As well the camera could be better but again your buying a compact flip phone so expect most features to be middle of the road....its a flip phone and to me that is vey cool and nostalgic. The hinge has a slight creak, another reviewer mentioned it but you get a year warranty with motorola so hopefully its not an issue. I have not felt like it was cheap or easy to break at all it feels solid to me. I would suggest you purchase through a carrier. The promo deals are so competitive ... Beautiful phone, works with Verizon 5G.Slim and light weight. Fits in your pocket nicely.I went with this Razr+ over the Samsung's flip 4 because I got sick of all the bloatware with managing Samsung and Android apps. Both displays look amazing with 144hz refresh rate. No lag. I'm happy with my purchase. Less clutter and everything works smoothly with no issues so far.Battery life seems like it's on par with Samsung flip 4. The fast charge is amazing too. It doesn't take long to fully charge it.I'm replacing my fold 4, so it's a little bit of an adjustment, but my experience with the Razr+ had been fantastic.
The only benefit for me of the bigger Fold-style phones is that they have usable outside screens. This brings that to my preferred Flip-style form factor and I LOVE IT.Apps I've been loving having access to on the outside:- Camera- YouTube & YouTube Music- Messaging Apps (SMS, Telegram)- Social Media (Discord, Twitter, Reddit, etc.)- Email!- Pokémon GO- Most everything else you can think of (only a few exceptions so far)Some apps might look a bit odd in the aspect ratio of the outside screen, but you have the ability to either:- Make the app take the more space (including the camera area)- Make the app take less space to give you access to buttons that may have been hidden by the cameras- Flip the phone over to the big screen for everything ... That along with the more stylish look vs the leaked Samsung Z Flip 5 made this a no brainer for me.
Coming from phones such as an Iphone 14 pro, Galaxy fold 4, galaxy flip 4, pixel 7 pro and galaxy s23 ultra, this phone is different but great. If you like stock android and like the flip concept you will be a fan of this phone. Pros- The battery has been all day use with at least 25 percent at the end of the night around 11pm or so. The processor breezes thru apps with no stutter. The software is very similar to the pixel software in a lot of way, very vanilla android with a lot of fun flip phone features. The external and internal screen are great but there is a con that has been bugging me that I will discuss in the cons but 90% has been great. The speakers are loud. The external and internal screen are great but there is a con that has been bugging me that I will discuss in the cons but 90% has been great. The speakers are loud. The Bluetooth and signal strength is amazing. I honestly cant remember a device that had such strong signal, I'm on Att network and always have strong signal and great call quality. Cameras are around a 7.5 out of 10 if I had to put a number on it. Its definitely good for a flip phone given the space the phone has to work with but if you want the better camera go for a pixel 7 or 7 pro, galaxy s23 ultra. Build quality is I would say pretty good, I definitely think it has the best hinge out of any flip or fold like other video reviews on youtube have said. Yes it does have a little bit of a "wiggle" but its so minimal I don't even notice it. Tent mode is not as strong as the samsung flip 4 but its very close and still really well constructed. Also another note on the external screen is you have to see it to believe it. You can seriously do EVERYTHING on the external screen and the YouTube creator Mr. Mobile recently posted a review of this device and showed you can use this device for 24 hours without opening up the gorgeous 6.9 inch screen. I love the external screen but the internal screen is great too, especially with that 165hz display, the external is a 144hz display which both are faster than anything Apple, Google or Samsung have out at this time so once you use it youll see a difference, its small but definitely smooth. Cons- As other reviews have mentioned the screen brightness has been buggy, it will be dark then bright at random times, im sure this is a software bug but until then this is a small annoyance. Also the accessories this phone has is limited too, I know Best Buy has no cases available but I went in to a random T-Mobile store and they had a nice clear case for sale that I picked up for $50. Another con I would say is the limited software updates, my hope is that since Motorola has had this type of device going for a couple years now they will hopefully be more aggressive on staying up to date. That's all I got but if you're a fan of the flip or and Motorola I really think you'll really enjoy this device, pick it up, I don't think you'll regret it.
