Motul Chain Clean

I recently tried Motul C1 Chain Clean for the first time, and I'm thoroughly impressed. This product is a game-changer for maintaining my motorcycle's chain. It effortlessly removed dirt and grime, leaving my chain looking almost like new. The spray application is convenient, and the formula is effective without being overly harsh on the chain. Bye Bye Grease, Oils, Sand... EVERYTHING!

Not my first time turning to the Motul C1 Chain cleaner. It's fantastic, quick acting and removes all residue. Additionally, found it great to remove residue from other hard to reach areas of my bike as well when washing it down; it's safe to use and doesn't leave any damage; as expected.

Expensive, but fantastic

Very effective, cleans super well. Did not have to scrub excessively with grunge brush, 2-3 rounds of sprays with the Motul got nearly everything off. Finish with a water rinse and chain is like new.Fairly expensive per can. I used almost 3/4 of a can on just 1 cleaning (370 miles, local commuting). If chain was dirtier I'm sure the entire can would have been used. Have never used kerosene so cannot comment on effectiveness comparison, but if you're OK with spending $8-$10 per cleaning this is a great solution with minimal effort.

Full clean - No fuss

I was very impressed with this cleaner, as it tackles the grease and grimes of the chain as well as you see dish soaps remove kitchen messes in a TV commercial.Spray on the cleaner, let it soak for a moment, then wipe the grime away!I'll admit sometimes you need a couple passes for the really grimey bits, but with how fast you can work using this product I don't mind as the total cleanup time is minimal.

Yes you can use Kerosin or another degreaser but this stuff works like magic. Great product. You pay money and you get results. That's what we don't get with other brands :(

Outstanding Chain Cleaner

As the other reviews have stated, this stuff just WORKS! I ride through gravel and dusty roads up in the Blue Ridge Mountains on my Indian FTR 1200S, and the chain gets covered in dust and crap. Using this, along with the Grunge Brush, and the chain comes out looking like new. Excellent product.

Works great

I've always used Motul chain lube but other cleaning sprays. This stuff works really well and knocks off all the road grime; leave the chain looking better than new. For the price point, you can't go wrong with Motul products.

cleans well

Relatively low flash point solvent (evaporates quickly, I suspect it is flammable) that cleans well. With a grunge brush you can use sparingly. Reportedly does not harm o-rings. I uses cardboard between chain and wheel to keep off the wheel and on ground to catch dirty fluid. I am not a big fan of solvents on painted surfaces even if advertising says it will not harm. Less expense alternatives but have to deal with aftermath and dispose of dirty fluid. This stuff evaporates in 10 minutes. Throw away the dirty cardboard. Use outdoors.

melts it all away

Melts chain wax away like crazy. I was really surprised how well this works. That said its a bit pricey though. I could see using it after a very long trip where you just spray more chain wax on the chain without cleaning it till you get home. Otherwise I would generally stick with kerosene
