Trying these and their Coolmax cousins as my everyday work socks around the farm. So far both pairs are performing great. Paired with my Keen Targhee 3 boot, my injured right ankle/foot is held in the most comfortable, supportive position allowing me to walk and work with reduced pain and swelling. Guess I'll be buying more.

We previously purchased these Sock and loved them, they are perfect for summer and slightly cooler months. Could not be happier, these form fitted padded socks are super comfortable, warm, do not bunch or gather, and they actually stay in place, they’re perfect for walking around town or out on the trail. And if you wait & pick up on sale, they are totally worth the money, we wait each year for the sales and buy in bulk. Hope they’re around for years to come because I wear them all the time.

I love these socks so far. I generally like mountain designs hike socks although this is my first pair of merino. Just remains to be seen what kind of lifespan I get out of them. I use them as a comfy everyday sock but they also provide good cushioning in a pair of hiking boots.

I’ve been trying for years to find socks that work for me and finally… these MD light hiking socks have worked really well. Light enough to not to hold too much moisture, well fitted to avoid any rucking or excessive foot movement, and after several long challenging walks durability seems great. So good I bought another 3 pairs on special.
Loving these socks. been wearing them for a few weeks now on a daily basis. bought them because my waterproof hiking boots were getting smelly after wearing all day and sweat wicking sport socks just didnt cut it. these are my first marino socks so cant compare with other brands. comfortable socks with no rub points, seams etc. as i have a few in the same colour i need to remember to look for the L and R when pairing together after cleaning. Sometimes if feet gets a little sweaty when i take shoes off can be a little smelly but the smell is gone within a minute or two. i manged to buy a few pairs on a half price special but have also paid full price and definately worth every cent.
I have bought the woollen Mountain Designs socks before and they are excellent, except the elastic is a little tight around the tops. The socks I have recently ordered will be Christmas gifts for my family and I know they will be happy with them.
Fantastic build and feel. I’ve worn these on multi day treks, running and playing tennis. They perform better than so called “non blister” socks. Thanks sheep!!
I have CMT in my feet which affects the nerves. I find the extra padding in these socks is just in the right places without too much thickness. My feet do not hurt when I wear these socks for my walking exercise. They are worth the extra money, particularly if you can buy them on special.
Simply the best socks I've ever had, in my 67 years. Tailored to be snug. Can't beat merino wool. I hide them from the rest of the family. I've kept looking for good quality socks for years. not only superb quality, but intelligent design and engineering. Started with 2 pairs and bought 4 more. Highly recommended.
I bought 5 pairs of this sock about 1 or 2 months ago. 2 of the 5 pairs now have holes in them where the synthetic section on the top of the foot connects the tow to leg section. 10 years ago Mountain Designs was quality, now they are rubbish. If you want a good Marino sock you need to choose an Icebreaker. I would also like to state that I have only worn these socks with shoes around an office. At no time have I worn them without a shoe.
