The tumba wide brim hat is the best hat I have ever had for the outdoors. I am a photographer who enjoys the great outdoors for landscape photography. This hat is so versatile. It folds easily, does not lose it's shape, is quick dry and above all, keeps the sun of face and back better than any other hat I have used. Fantastic value for quality product.

We were going on a 10 day hike across the bottom of Tasmania and I needed a hat that gave full sun protection and wouldn't be blown off our heads. I purchased the Tumba Wide Brim Hat made by Mountain Design for myself and my two children (10 & 11). We could not have been happier. On top of the benefits above, they also fold down small for travel, are quick dry and don't make your head sweaty.

Best hat for sun protection ever - amazing coverage. Super light, dries quickly and the brim is stiff enough to not flop around but soft and thin enough to scrunch up in your pocket. Chin string is great on windy days. The only downside is that it looks REALLY stupid lol but function over fashion I reckon. I’ve had mine a few years, using it all the time for everything from hiking to boating to gardening and it still looks new. Fantastic product.

Bought for a friend, because I love mine so much. Great construction and is very durable in all weather conditions. My husband and son wear these to work. They are in the building trade. I also know plenty of friends and family that use these great all rounder hats.
This hat is nice and light. It is a good fit IMO, it’s not tight and not loose, I also use the chin strap. It has excellent coverage; I am not concerned about my neck at all, and the brim is a good width. Walking through the bush, my visibility was not impacted, nor did I overheat.I got one initially just to test and has become my go to. It is a solid buy!
Quite a good hat. I am using it in the garden and have found very effective at keeping my neck from getting too much sun. I found the cord a nuisance but after a working on windy day I had to change my mind, I now have the cord behind my neck most of the time and find it ok.
Great hat! Fits my big head just fine and easy to adjust. Really light and breathable to wear, great sun protection. Only neg is it doesn't hold shape in a decent breeze. I use it for outdoor/roof work.
On the farm we are always trying different hats as the old ones wear out, unfortunately the traditional felt and straw hats are super hot. So what's just great about these ones is that they are super lightweight, breathable through the side mesh panels, and the neck flap fully protects our neck, and the downward angled front and sides fully shade our faces. A nice touch is the elastic at the brim rear, and this along with the soft chin strap makes for a perfect fit and keeps it on your head on the quads and SxS's! So I have three...
Got these hats on sale and can't fault them. Great value and perfectly described, also quick shipping. The hat itself is lightweight, full coverage, quick dry, foldable, washable... You name it. A bit dorky looking but both my partner and I rock them in the garden all day. Would buy again or recommend!
Not the most stylish hat in the world but when you're outdoors and want excellent sun protection this hat will deliver. Good quality material and solid brim and rear flap protection will do well to protect me from the sun on my outdoor adventures.
