Great puffer jacket with a high build quality. After shopping around and previously buying Kathmandu puffer jackets for years and being fairly unhappy. I came across the mountain designs jacket and got it on discount.Best decision ever, right in time for this bitter 2022 Melbourne winter, the down thickness is great and keeps me warm in all temperatures (haven’t tested subzero but I’m sure it would perform). And the fact that the down is split into multiple sections is a brilliant design choice, albeit looking a bit funny at first. It definitely would stop large amounts of down leaking out of the jacket in the event of a tear, which has happened before.

Extremely happy, the jacket has kept me very warm. However, it would have been nice to actually try one on for sizing in store. In ordering online, I had to guess the correct size. I chose one size larger and fortunately it is a perfect fit.
Very nice jacket from mountain designs. I also have the resurge, couldnt choose between the 2 so ended up with both. The xs fits me well at 168cm and 68kg, however i feel like there is a bit too much looseness around the tummy for a beer belly i dont have! i think id prefer a couple cm less of sleeve length, but overall a great jacket and in my opinion better then anything else ive seen in similar price range.

I bought this as a gift for my partner. He already owns a pair but liked the yellow lining. I have a pair in womens and own the zephyr 750. These down jackets are extremely light weight, super comfortable and super warm. They are absolutely the best that I have ever owned and have highly recommended it anyone that admires it.
Worth every cent. Mountain Design last. 700 loft, super cosy and practical. Son adores it and won’t take it off. An investment, but try and buy it on sale. Beautiful quality.
Really nice jacket, good fill volume, effective DWR. I was after something more than the fashion jackets which are common, but couldnt find an alpine jacket in my size. This one is sort of half way between those two extremes and the price is excellent.
It’s really hard to say from Sydney bc anything will be nice and warm, but I’ve try this jacket close to mountains and cold weather, and it really ticks the boxes.I do recommend this
