There was also a good amount of sandyness, which along with the snow feeling left me wondering if I should add a drop or two or DNM into the puzzle. However, after doing only 5 or so solves, the cube reached amazing speeds and the sandy feel already went away. One thing that differs the puzzle from the MGC is the stability. The MGC is known for being the fastest 6x6, but also the least stable. Compared to my MGC, this cube offers higher levels of speed, but is exponentially more stable. Since receiving the puzzle I’ve done about 150 solves, and I’ve had 3-4 lockups and only one pop. This is something I had to work around with the MGC - I knew the stability (or lack thereof) of the puzzle was holding me back, and it left me waiting for a better 6x6 to come along. The medium-strength magnets combined with the mechanism of the Angstrom Aoshi WRM mean I can turn as fast as I want and not have to worry about lockups - something most people haven’t been able to say about 6x6 hardware pretty much ever.As someone with smaller hands, the reduced size of the puzzle compared to the MGC means I can do longer sessions and not feel fatigued. In addition, the Angstrom setup adds a smooth feeling with even more speed, meaning I can have fun doing 6x6 for the first time in a while. The only nitpick I have with the puzzle is the shades. The green is significantly darker than that of the MGC, and while I haven’t been a huge fan of the shade choices MoYu has made recently, it doesn’t make enough of a difference to impact my solves in a large way.The Angstrom Aoshi WRM has taken the spot for the best 6x6 on the market by a landslide. It’s the first major 6x6 release in years, and one that I think many solvers will enjoy. I still think the MGC is a good puzzle, and the MGC may still be the choice for those on a tighter budget, but if you can manage it, I highly recommend this puzzle. Since getting it, I’ve gotten my first sub-2 single and mean, and could not be happier with my purchase.

Hey there! So, full disclosure, I'm not exactly a wordsmith, but I'm excited to share my thoughts on this product with you through a pros and cons list!Let's start with the positives:• This product offers an ideal combination of speed and control. It's fast, yet still provides a good level of control. Of course, the speed may vary depending on your setup.• The corner cutting ability of this puzzle is excellent. It can smoothly cut around 2 pieces, although this depends on the tensions that you use.• I hardly experience any popping issues with this cube, even though my turning style is a bit rough and imprecise. In my 20-30 solves, I have had maybe 2 or 3 pops, and most of those were when I first got this cube and had not gotten used to the turning.• When ... MoreHey there! The MGC suffers from excessive popping, while the Shadow V2 has subpar out-of-the-box performance and requires extensive setup to reach a satisfactory level.• Size-wise, this cube is pretty compact at 63mm. Additionally, it is very lightweight, weighing only 149 grams. For reference, the MGC 6x6 measures 65mm and weighs 175 grams. Now, let's move on to the negatives (though most of them are minor nitpicks):• One drawback worth noting is the somewhat higher price of this puzzle, coming in at $44. The price is roughly on par with the Shadow V2 and $19 more expensive than the MGC.• Probably the most significant drawback is the fact that this cube has frosted plastic. It does not provide very good grip when compared to UV or glossy plastic. It's a puzzling design choice by MoYu. (Pun absolutely intended)• The magnets on this puzzle are relatively weak. For me, it was not as bad as I expected, but if you know that you like stronger magnets, then it might help to get a few RS3M+ magnet kits. Tip: You will need 4 magnet kits to add extra magnets to just the 2 inner layers, and one additional kit to doublestack the outer layer magnets. If you doublestack both of the magnets on the second layer, then you won't need to doublestack the magnets on the outer layer.

New moyu finally made a good cube. This is lightyears ahead of the mgc. The performance and size are amazing, and I just love turning this thing. However, its not perfect. There are 2 things I am not a fan of, the frosted plastic, and the super weak second layer magnets. These can be fixed by just doing the polishing method for frosted cubes, and the plastic feels better, and for the second layer magnets, just get the rs3m 2020 magnet kit and double stack the second layer. All the other layers magnet strengths are perfect. This cube has finally made me enjoy 6x6 more.

This cube is the real deal. Like the other WRM cubes, this cube is smaller than other 6x6s. The first thing that stands out is its frosted finishing. I personally dislike it because it lessens the grip while solving. but on the other hand, the frosted plastic makes the cube feel more premium. I also love the primary internals for the centers. Out of the box the cube was already better than the MGC. It was very fast and stable, and has never popped, I got this cube less than a week ago, 100+ solves and my times decreased from 2:30 to 2:10. I have to say, it feels very sandy and has some weird rubbery sound when turning the outer layers but using weight 5 and DNM 37 and mystic made this cube amazing. In conclusion get this cube if you're serious into 6x6, or even just starting with 6x6, you won't regret it.
For the last two years I’ve been using the mgc 6x6. Idk why but I hated it and in turn, the event. I couldn’t do I single solve without atleast 1 or 2 pops. I finally decided I’m done with the mgc and bought this. I can pretty much go as fast as I want with no stability issues. I’ve done around 100 solves and have only had one pop which was a center piece while on 3x3 stage. On the mgc if I tried to continue it would’ve exploded but on this one I decided to push it and kept going with a center piece gone. It passed with flying colors, not even slowing down a bit and not exploding all over my desk. I really enjoy this cube and and really starting to like 6x6 because of it.
Hello. I'm a noob who has only had one other 6x6 in my life (what I think is this one's predecessor, the Aoshi GTS M, which is discontinued on TheCubicle) and this one far surpasses it. On the GTS M, the magnets are more even in strength between the layers, which means that sometimes when I turn the outer layer, the second innermost layer comes with it. On this one, I have no such problems. The outer layers are quick and smooth, and the inner layers have nice strong magnets that help keep them in place. Out of the box, it has that dry, sandy feeling that can easily be counteracted with lube. It's relatively smooth even without lubricant, though. I'm a big fan of MoYu cubes, especially their big cubes like the 4x4. The manufacturers have outdone themselves again!A couple warnings:If you loosen the cube too much (which I wouldn't recommend doing for any big cube because it can pop) the screws sticking out a little bit from the centers causes them to bump against the pieces when you're turning, causing an unholy scraping/locking sensation. Tighten the screws until they sink in at least a little bit to prevent this. Since it's a fast cube anyway, you don't need it too loose. It may be a speedcube, designed for speed, but don't turn it too fast and abuse the corner cutting, because again, it will pop. This applies to any big cube, speedy or not.
I got this cube for Christmas along with the Aochuang and Aofu WRM because my cubes were old; my old 5x5 popped at least 3 times each solve, my old 7x7 was way too big and my old 6x6 was broken ; Aoshi (this cube) was the best out of all. 6x6 hardware was notoriously bad, even though some cubes like Shadow or MGC were usable, they sometimes pop and catch . Aoshi WRM don't. It corner cuts better than some 5x5 (1.5 piece) ,even better than my new Aochuang WRM.Unpopular Opinion: The only flaw of this 6x6 speedcube is the inner layers' magnets ; they were too strong.Overall; after lubing it with Angstrom Dignitas and other lubes , this cube is probably the best 6x6 out there, I recommend it to people who have enough money to spend.Otherwise, you can get the MGC if ... MoreI got this cube for Christmas along with the Aochuang and Aofu WRM because my cubes were old; my old 5x5 popped at least 3 times each solve, my old 7x7 was way too big and my old 6x6 was broken ; Aoshi (this cube) was the best out of all. 6x6 hardware was notoriously bad, even though some cubes like Shadow or MGC were usable, they sometimes pop and catch . Before purchasing, my research pointed to the consensus that the MoYu AoShi is the best 6x6. But you might be wondering, like me, is it worth the price point? I started with the MGC 6x6; it is a good budget option, but I'm not an expert at setting up cubes so it performed sub-optimally. After switching my 4x4 to the AoShi, MoYu had gained my trust, and so I took the leap. I wish I had started with the AoShi, so please do what I should have done...start with this cube.Pros:- Solid construction and materials- Angstrom Setup - professional setup cannot be beat- Very stable feel but with smooth turning- Lighter and smaller than the MGC (235g/63mm vs. 315g/65mm) [This made for much longer practice sessions for me.]Cons:- Price point - it is a higher end cube; ... MoreBefore purchasing, my research pointed to the consensus that the MoYu AoShi is the best 6x6. It took maybe 10 or 20 solves to begin to break in the cube. The middle slices were especially difficult to move with parity algs being almost impossible. Once it broke in though, the turning, as on all Angstrom puzzles, is very smooth and fast.
This is the best 6x6 and it’s not even close. I had the MGC 6x6 for a while and while it’s good, the unstable feel and frequent pops prevent me from enjoying it that much. Then this cube came out and all the issue I had with the MGC was fixed! Fast on all layers, very stable, and very little pops! The smaller than normal size makes it more comfortable to hold!I set this up by putting Traxxas 10K on the core because the cube was making spring noise when I first turn it. I then use the typical Angstrom setup, just without Lubicle Black since I already put Traxxas 10K on the core. This lead the cube to feel very smooth and fast!My times on 6x6 dropped significantly because of how good it is! If you want a 6x6, get this cube ONLY!!! I had a QiYi 6x6 for 4 months and i was getting 7 and 8 minute solves with it but one of the pieces broke i glued it back together and the glue worked but then one of the core pieces broke, It was not to hard to fix that piece but then the core piece with the screw broke and i couldn't use it i did one turn to see if it still worked and the whole cube Bersted into pieces, when i tried to assemble it i saw 12 of the core pieces were broken and they wouldn't fit together so i couldn't assemble it. Then i got the YJ MGC 6x6 cause i thought it was a good high quality 6x6 and i could solve it in 5 minutes and got a pb of 3:33 but one month after i got it one of the core pieces broke and probably the worst piece to break cause i couldn't turn the middle layers, I could ... MoreI had a QiYi 6x6 for 4 months and i was getting 7 and 8 minute solves with it but one of the pieces broke i glued it back together and the glue worked but then one of the core pieces broke, It was not to hard to fix that piece but then the core piece with the screw broke and i couldn't use it i did one turn to see if it still worked and the whole cube Bersted into pieces, when i tried to assemble it i saw 12 of the core pieces were broken and they wouldn't fit together so i couldn't assemble it. I had pieces from the QiYi 6x6 so i replaced them and it worked for 3 days but then an other piece broke and i keep replacing core pieces until i used up all 6 and had no more, so i ordered the MoYu AoShi WR M 6x6 so i could get a very good 6x6 but the package got lost some where and it never came, They sent me an other one and i was waiting for it for 5 days and i saw the mail truck earlier today and went to see if it had got here and there was nothing in the mailbox so i was just about to give up trying to get a 6x6 when suddenly i saw the mail truck and he pulled up next to me and said he misplaced the package and gave it to me and i opened it up and there was the 6x6 and i did a few solves on it and it is great, way better then the YJ MGC but i still think the YJ MGC is a good one mine might of had a problem that i didn't know about until solving it a lot or it might of just broke, but i am very happy with the Moyu Aoshi WR M and this is probably the best 6x6 i can find. Thank you for sending another one when i said it got lost and i just hope this cube doesn't break before the competition i'm going to in November. This is a very good 6x6 the magnets are just the right strength to get SUB-4 solves and maybe SUB-3 or 2 depends on how fast you are and not how good the cube turns which means this is a very good cube. I'm glad i got it.
