Has everything you need to grow small plants indoors in low light. Great for the beginner gardener. Would make a great gift. Ideal for growing herbs on a kitchen bench without soil, no risk of fungus gnats or soil spilling onto your bench. Design would go with any decor. Easy to use. Just wish it was a bit bigger. The set and forget grow light timer is handy, it also has an alarm to tell you if the water needs topping up. A fantastic little introduction to hydroponics and grow lights - I now want more of both!

I originally bought a much more expensive, almost identical item. It worked well but when I found this, I saved around $40! The automatic lights and warning alarms when it’s time to top up the water make it easy to have a plentiful supply of basil, parsley, spinach and many other culinary needs.

This is certainly a set and forget, with the automatic on/off light a genius addition. It is exciting to check the progress of the tiny shoots, then before you know it, it’s time to harvest and eat. I also bought the Micro Snips which are perfect for the job.
I brought this about 3 weeks ago, the timer does not work very well it says 16 on 8 off we have it set so it’s not in between in the early evening. But this changes from day to day. Some veg have more light depending on where the sit so you do need to change the pods around so they all get even lighting. I was thinking of getting for my grankids rooms so they could grow their own flowers etc but because of timers I would not recommend, also the blue light is to bright for a bed room. Only good for a space you don’t want lit up at night But plants seem to be growing well
Great product, but not reusable. You can't buy the HydroBoost Hydroponic Liquid Fertiliser from Bunnings (only direct from Mr Fothergills), and Mr Fothergill's doesn't sell replacement vermiculite.
Purchased this item a few months ago and I am very impressed. Going to get a second one and do strawberries. Great idea, very compact and easy to clean. I spend 5min a week cleaning and re-filling with water. It does the rest. Very impressed
We have very little natural light in our kitchen (actually in our whole apartment!), so growing herbs indoors to use in cooking is a challenge, and frankly I gave up. I had considered other hydroponic bench top gardens but their price was rather off putting, so finding this gem at Bunnings was a cause for huge excitement, and it hasn’t disappointed! We chose to plant some mint, chives and mixed lettuce, and the lettuce is growing like a champ. The chives and mint are a little slower to sprout but are getting there. This kit is super easy to set up and maintain, and the timer function is brilliant. We definitely recommend this garden kit and plan to purchase a couple more so we can grow and harvest even more in our kitchen.
I bought this 5 months ago and have loved it ever since. It has automatic timing so you dont have to remember to turn it on. You just fill up with water and forget about it. It has an alarm when it needs water. Its sits on my kitchen bench and i can pick herbs straight from it for my meals.
After reading so many positive reviews we decided to buy one to grow herbs in our kitchen. Wow what a great little garden it has turned out to be! Basil started sprouting in 4 days from planting. A wonderful little indoor garden. So very pleased to have bought it. Great price , looks good ,doesn't take up much room and so convenient.
