I believe the RTX 3060 Ti series is currently the sweet spot for price/performance. While this MSI Ventus is a bit on the higher end of the price range, it's still a fairly competitive entry from MSI. However, I'm disappointed that despite the 3 cooling fans, there is not much room for additional OC'ing. Yes, the performance is there right out of the box, but I feel like it could've had more potential. Prior to this card, I had an OEM 3060 Ti, and that thing was rock solid at higher clock speeds and with only 2 cooling fans. That card also featured an LED "RTX" logo that this one lacks. It was a nice touch for an OEM product. This MSI is as bare bones as they come, but it still does the job so buy with confidence.

Picked one of these up the other day, and I'm super impressed. It's long ,but fits in my Corsair 280X case!Tested Borderlands, Apex, PUBG at 1440p and they run great. Apex and PUBG can easily hit high-refresh rates constantly, Borderlands requires turning down some settings to hit 90+ FPS constantly, if you care about that.Temperatures stay in the mid 60s, unlike my old GTX 1070 that would hit the mid 70s. It's more quiet than my old card too. I'm sure adjusting the fan curve can help even more. This card requires just one 8 pin power connector. Apparently that means it won't overclock as well as others, but getting an extra 5 FPS from overclocking isn't a big deal anyways. Well I finally decided to give my Rig an upgrade with a new GPU coming from another MSI 1650 Super. This upgrade gave pretty much every game I ever play a massive improvement in frame rate, higher resolution, and better boost clock performance. Mine is coupled with an AMD Ryzen 5600X CPU, and is compatible with my Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming motherboard. They all run smooth with no hick ups. Installation was super easy, just plug and play. It is a bigger gpu than my 1650 so I was happy it just about fit in my mid tower case with no issues. It has a bit of weight so I would suggest maybe opting in for a gpu support bracket to take the full weight off the side with the pin connectors. But all preference. If you’re thinking about doing it and are having doubts, but can’t afford to go higher atm, I’d say go for it until you can manage to pull off a higher Gen in the future. Good luck with your rigs and may the “GeForce” be with you (to my SW fans) hehe.

Decent GPU for the price, I experience GPU sag with it even considering how light it is compared to most other GPUs, that probably has to do with the backplate being made out of plastic, and the fan/heat sink covers as well. It only requires an 8 pin cable to power but the performance it puts out is great. Wish it had more overclocking capability, it is an OC edition but based on the overclocking silicon wasn't on my side. Max stable I got on core clock was +175Mhz, and mem clock was a lot lower. Unusually the gpu would crash more often when messing with mem clock instead of core. Haven't experienced any kind of overheating, even with over clocking, the hottest it got was benchmarking, even then it maxed out at 70c. Great card, I would recommend purchasing if ... Great card, I would recommend purchasing if upgrading from a low-mid end 1000 series, or a low end 2000 series, try to get it when it's on sale or find a site online so you can price match at best buy. It's good, but it's not $500+ good. Got mine for $425.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is a highly capable graphics card that delivers outstanding performance at a relatively affordable price. With its powerful Ampere architecture, it excels in both gaming and content creation tasks. The inclusion of ray tracing and DLSS enhances visual quality, offering a more immersive gaming experience. While cooling and noise levels may vary depending on the model, the card's power efficiency ensures stable operation without excessive power consumption. With improved availability and reasonable pricing, the RTX 3060 Ti is an excellent choice for those seeking a high-performance mid-range GPU without breaking the bank.
If you're looking for something that will handle high end graphics but not break the bank, this is probably a good card to start and try out with. While you cannot run the absolute max graphics for most newer titles, you can definitely run that next level down or two very comfortably. Definitely not the absolute best out there, but is still a great powerhouse for an average or casual gaming enthusiast. Switching to this from a 1070 ti was a game changer for me, and could be for you too without spending 1.5k+ on the latest and greatest cards.
Coupled this with an upgraded ultrawide monitor for my son's gaming rig (succeeded an AMD Radeon 5600XT) - this card was considerably more massive but was still easy enough to get into a full-sized case. Noticed immediate improvements in top frame rates across numerous demanding games like Atomic Heart and effectively maxed-out Rainbow Six: Siege as far as graphical settings. Definitely added a little more heat to the mix, but the case fans have been sufficient to keep the card in the low-to-mid 80's without overly stressing the card - in face I'm quite sure it's more capable than we've been pushing it, but the demand just isn't there! Now that the GPU/crypto insanity has calmed down a bit, cards like this are far more available and prices are less absurd - so make the leap if you can!
I purchased this model two weeks ago; so far it's performed very well. For reference, I upgraded from a GTX 970 with an AM4 platform (Ryzen 5 3600). This card has no issues so far running any game I play at 1440p above 60FPS--most games can achieve 100+ with settings adjustments.Temps are overall fine; not the best you would see from 3060ti AIB models, but I've yet to see it go over 62C under load. One small caveat to consider though: I had an older PSU from 2013 that was 620W (Which on paper should be enough to handle this system), but I was getting hardware-protection related shutdowns while gaming. This is not a fault of the card, but rather a fault of mine; I'm just listing this here just in case anyone else has the same issue. Replacing the supply has fixed ... This is not a fault of the card, but rather a fault of mine; I'm just listing this here just in case anyone else has the same issue. Replacing the supply has fixed the issue as of writing this review. To conclude, if this card is sub-$450 I would recommend considering buying it. It's a great 1440p card that can also push high frame-rates at that resolution with smart setting adjustments or if you play lighter and/or esports titles. This is not an upper-tier AIB so $450 is honestly a breaking point for this particular card. However, thermals and acoustics are more than fine for this die. If you want a card as a show-piece, this card is not for you; it's a no-frills card with no RGB so if that matters to you, look elsewhere. You also of course gain the suite of additional features that Ampere cards offer: RTX, DLSS, NVENC encoder, etc. If you don't care about these features though, consider buying a RX 6700XT from AMD; you can find them under $400 sometimes and the performance is about the same, while also having an extra 4GB of VRAM (not that I've run into memory issues with this card yet even at 1440p).
I waited and Waited and finally got a new GPU for MSRP... I bought this in Boca, FL with an associate named Devon, really helped me making a decision. This is my First NEW GPU, was probably the best bang for my buck for my current Build and in my budget. anywhere between 120-160 Frames on my 165hz monitor, maybe higher at 1080p and around 120-140 on 1440p depending on the game. Mostly COD and Sports Games, Madden, Hockey, MLB. I don't game as much, Run Linux with Multi Monitors and everything works well. Windows for Gaming Runs fine, temps are Cool, Haven't really fussed with OverClocking anything happy with what I have. And the Service was Top Tier. Devon in Boca if you see this THANK YOU. Looking forward to my next trip out there!
The card itself has been great. So far it hasn't been used for gaming, but has been running Stanford University's Folding@Home and gets around 2.5-3 million points per day. A huge improvement over the 1060 6Gb that was my previous points leader. It get 5-6x the points the 1060 did. I went with a three fan design since it's running 24x7. The card does not run warm because the extra heatsink surface area and fan does the job.It is matched with a 4k Asus Pro-Art monitor, which is absolutely beautiful. My only gripe was the cost. It was much higher than what MSRP should be, but still less than scalpers are charging. That is the reason for the four stars instead of five.
