Running all my games smoothly. Does not break a sweat. Cooling is ace and can hardly hear it, silent fan mode when idling or not driving the gpu. Brushed metal and well made with a nice bit of rgb lighting. I knew these cards were big but still massive when you see them for real so check you have room in your tower. Upgraded from a rtx2070 so massive upgrade, just a shame they are so expensive at the moment, hence the one star down for pricing. Otherwise can't fault this card at all.

TL;DR - STRONG COIL WHINE.The best design of any video card, extremely quiet fans and amazing temperatures, perfect GPU anti-sag bracket, MSI RGB software also arguably the best, but there is one big problem - coil whine. Coil whine on this card was the worst I've heard, it's thanks to custom PCB and high-end capacitors, sadly these capacitors are more noisy than any fans in my system during full load gaming. If MSI had a model that has no coil whine, I would instantly buy it, but now it's a huge lottery and many other brand video cards also suffer from this issue, especially Asus. I will return it and try my luck with other model.

The Suprim X specifically comes with a lot of accessories and a stand to help the card stay upright, which I appreciate. I went ahead and also bought a 850W ATX 3.0/PCIE5 PSU to ensure smooth performance. While I understand concerns regarding the price point of this card, especially when upgrading from a 30x series card, it still made no sense to me to pay the same or similar amount of money for a 30x series card for less performance. I upgraded from an RTX 2060 and have been extremely pleased with the performance I've gotten out of the card. I'm able to play VR games in a clarity I've never seen before, with improved visuals and tracking, and furthermore the RTX 4080 also excels in 3D rendering and physics simulations. Having had my previous 1080ti for the past 5 years, I thought it'd be time for an upgrade. I've wanted a Suprim X card since they first launched. Famously run really cool and gorgeous aesthetic. The 4080 seemed the obvious jump seeing it's ridiculous performance compared to the 30x series cards. Needless to say I'm over the moon with it. Card runs every game I throw at it at 4K Ultra, all the bells and whistles and is still almost silent. Also the card being extremely power friendly is a huge bonus too in these times. Absolute 10/10, Scan are always top notch in their customer service if anything goes wrong too.
Pros: I recently invested in a 4K OLED gaming monitor. After skipping the last generation I really had high hopes for AMD but their RT performance is just not up to it. I held out for the RTX 4070Ti just in case it was any better than expected but sadly not. So here we are with an awesome, beautifully engineered card that's deadly silent under normal use and rocks any game/simulation at 4K Max/Ultra settings I throw at it. (I don't play Cyberpunk!) Overkill if you are at 1440p or less, otherwise bite the price bullet and buy with confidence.Cons: Price.
This is a great card! It performs fantastically and effortlessly, barely makes a sound when gaming and when pair with the right tech!Even the packaging is really nice, would have preferred a light and angelic singing when I opened it, but the pop up back will also suffice. It also comes with a support rod… thing, so if you have any concerns about sagging due to weight you can chuck that in too.Things to think about:- Keep in mind while this will work with older tech it will be throttled because of it- uses a fair amount of power, recommends 850w- it’s a BIG boy, make sure you have the space!
This is a fantastic GPU. It’s very expensive, but then that’s just the market at the moment. Can’t fault the card though. Performance is incredible and I’m running it with a 5950x which isn’t bottlenecking for my applications, but is on the slightly older side now. There aren’t many games that support DLSS 3 at the moment (DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NVIDIA MARKETING, THESE GAMES BEING SHOWED OFF AREN’T UPDATED YET TO SUPPORT DLSS 3), but as more appear the performance will only improve.Just be aware of the size of this card if you get it. It is a MONSTER and I had to buy a larger case and rebuild my system around the size of this card. My poor little Fractal Meshify C was just never going to cut it.
The MSI GeForce RTX4080 SUPRIM X 16GB graphics card is a top-of-the-line graphics card that is designed for gamers who demand the best performance possible. This card features NVIDIA's latest RTX 40 series architecture and comes with 16GB of GDDR6X memory. The card is equipped with a triple-fan cooling system that keeps the card running cool even when it's under heavy use. It also features RGB lighting, which adds a touch of style to your system.Overall, the MSI GeForce RTX4080 SUPRIM X 16GB graphics card is an excellent choice for gamers who want top-of-the-line performance and features for their gaming system. However, it comes at a very high price point, and may not be the best option for those on a tight budget.
Purchased a baseball cap from Scan on a Sunday night. Much to my surprise it arrived the very next day. I couldn’t believe my luck when I opened the box, not only to see my new branded hat but also a MSI SuprimX 4080! Praise the lord! Seriously though, the card is an absolute monster, not only in size but also with regards to its raw performance and cooling capabilities. Make sure your case can accommodate this leviathan and that you have sufficient clearance for airflow. I’ve read a lot of people complain about coin whine with this generation but I haven’t experienced any to a level that’s intrusive or distracting. Cooling is superb, I contemplated slapping on a water block but this thing maxed out at 59c after an hour of Cyberpunk so in all honestly, I’ll probably ... MorePurchased a baseball cap from Scan on a Sunday night. Great card, don’t regret paying this generations prices for it at all and that’s from someone who previously had a 3080fe. Performance jump is noticeable and worth every penny.
Very expensive but this is a great card to be honest. I went from a Zotac Trinity 3090 to this, which ran hot... It really did my head in. This card though runs really really cool and it is so quiet, even under full load.I am seeing (and hearing) a difference. Was it worth it? For me, yes, although expensive. However, 30 series cards are still relevant. The biggest part about this card, for me, is how quiet it is... I'm really impressed.Oh, and make sure you have a big case. This card is huge. I have a Bequiet silent base 800, I had to remove the HDD bay which luckily I didn't use!!
