I don't think my experience was normal but I had a number of difficulties with spontaneous restarts/errors and I spent too many hours to build on this platform. All four diagnostic LEDs my unit had for missing/failed CPU, RAM, VGA and BOOT were lit at one time or another (and inconsistently) leading me to believe none of those components were at fault. Simple to flash the BIOS by USB to install a newer processor, without needing to install any RAM ect. BIOS easy to enable EXPO. Seems very stable so far. Great value.

I see a lot of people complaining about this MB booting up real slow. Well I found the fix for it deep in the rabbit hole of reddit from a redditor. "In the BIOS, turn on advanced mode and go to the OC section and find the "Memory Context Restore" option and set it to "Enabled". Also, go into the Advanced DRAM configuration and then into the Misc section and set the "Power Down Enable" setting to "Enabled". I also re-enabled A-XMP and then rebooted. The first time it trained as usual and took a while to come up. After the next power down and back up though it is now booting in a much more reasonable 20 seconds.

Works and the Io is amazing for the price.Flash button is a must have in my opinion from now on.I hate the combination with my 7800x3d. Had to flash the board twice to install the new bios update.Because x3d needs a bios flash which led to then only one ram slott to be available. Which had me downgrade the Bios back to an earlier version which the board didnt want to do for some reason. After 4 Hours it randomly worked and now my Ram and Cpu works fine but then it had my graphic card not detected. So I had to flash another version and then windows update the bios which basicly instaled the first bios I instaled but this time it works. So after all this hastle It is a good experience.Starting times are well faster then with the old bios, mind you still slower ... Unfortunately the whole Asus + AMD fiasco has spilled over on this motherboard causing MSI to push a beta Bios with unstable EXPO support. Turning on EXPO with 2x16gb 5600 ram causes a failure to boot. Only way to get it to boot up again is by manually resetting the CMOS. Hopefully the problem will be resolved but as of now there is no Expo support on this board. At least not with a dual set ram sticks
This motherboard is defective. It does not power on properly. Bios screen won't load. I tried reseating the cmos battery. Nothing. Now it won't turn on at all.
Good Points: Very solid build. Even some resistance felt when installing RAM modules, which is great to know everything is secure.Very clear layout for front I/O and F-Panel connectors.A pleasure to build with this board, and would definitely recommend.Improvement Points: MSI utility software would not download the B650 chipset drivers properly. easily rectified by downloading direct from AMD.
4090 paired with a 7950x. Not a bad board, I feel like it can handle the 7950x just fine if you are not OCing it. Long boot times with xmp enabled though. Hopefully bios updates will be able to fix it. Overall, nice board and solid price to performance.
