I was very surprised by the performance of this card. I upgraded from an RX 580 and it was a huge jump. I'm running this card on a 3700x and it's great at 1080p. It delivers about the same performance as my other PC running a 5900x and a 3080 but that machine is running on a 1440p monitor. So expect the same performance at 1080p as a 3080 running 1440p.

I really want to give this card a higher rating than 3/5, but I don't think it would properly reflect how much trouble I've had getting this thing to work reliably in my build. I've had to run through a LOT of troubleshooting, even going so far as to develop a checklist for troubleshooting when I inevitably encounter frame rate stutters/drops. When this card is working properly, it's great! However, it's proven to be a pain to get to work reliably. I've gone through the trusty "auto-undervolt and forget" advice that's on forums. I've manually under/over clocked/volted. I've installed several different driver versions. But I keep experiencing frame rate stutters and inexplicable drops in frame rates.I sincerely hope I'm able to update this review in the future ... MoreI really want to give this card a higher rating than 3/5, but I don't think it would properly reflect how much trouble I've had getting this thing to work reliably in my build. Got this card for a great deal about a month back. So far, the card has performed up to the specs designated by AMD. The card runs cool and can easily be further overclocked if you're willing to do so. When gaming, coil whine is not very noticeable and due to the card's low operating temperatures under load, the card is super quiet even if your panel is open. Overall, I'd recommend this to any gamer who's looking to get ultra graphics @ 60fps on 1440p and/or anyone who wants to play at super high framerates @ 1080p on any popular e-sports titles.

I did a little comparison on the AIB one and the reference model at AMD's direct buy website. It turns out to be a 66% difference for the same model which is 6700 XT. MSI should be ashamed of themselves for charging that much over. I understand that the AIB model usually go over price but that's way too much. There should some kind of rule in place where any AIB company can't charge more that 20% over period no acceptations. I don't recommend buying this one at this price at all. I'll bet its a nice video card but not at that price.
Used my HP Envy PC for over 13 years before finally having the means to treat myself and build a new PC using this card. Especially upsetting because I built it with longevity in mind. Assembled it in October and it ran beautifully for a few weeks, but now there's visual glitches that affect graphics across the board that make most games absolutely unplayable. See the video. Wrecks my eyes. - I'm not overclocking anything. - The only thing I modified through Radeon Software is when the fans turn on. - I've uninstalled and reinstalled Radeon Software along with all related drivers twice now; no change. - I've sought help on tomshardware, got proposed a thorough potential solution, which unfortunately didn't work. DO NOT BUY THIS CARD. Even if I'd built this PC right ... MoreUsed my HP Envy PC for over 13 years before finally having the means to treat myself and build a new PC using this card. Overall this Gpu is very good Performance.I was able to get 4K 60 FPS, or 1440P at 120 FPS in most games. I would recommend a good CPU to go with this. Because this Gpu very power-hungry.I combined the 11th gen i7 11700k. It works very good. The only thing negative is probably the current price market. I don’t agree with the price value of these cards at the moment based on performance to price ratio.
I got this GPU at $350, and for that price I can't be happier! I have a 1080p monitor and everything I play hits max frames on ultra with good temps. I have been considering going to 1440p since that is what this card is "supposed" to be used for but for where I am currently at, this is working extremely well.I did increase the fan speed since they are very quiet and the noise wasn't bothering me but the slightly higher temps were. Everything was in an ok range but I'd rather use the fans and have lower temps.
Purchased two of these a month apart for mining. Looks like msi switched ram from samsung to micron. Shouldn't make any difference but it does. The new card with micron memory is slower at mining. Haven't tested it gaming.Fan on one of the cards likes to knock or rattle slightly. Not too impressed in the quality but it was one of the cheapest.
I purchased the MSI AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech 2x OC as an upgrade from a legacy 2016 vintage gaphics card for my April 2021 computer build. The RX 6700 XT was easy to install, load drivers and get to gaming. The RX 6700 XT handles every game I play with ease at 1080p 60Hz ultra settings. Clearly, I am not the most demanding gamer and I don't push high frame rates. That said, I have not experienced any issues with temperatures, noise or compatibility. The dual fan configuration provides proper cooling and the RX 6700 XT Mech 2x OC has a zero fan speed setting which works well. The dual fan setup also made this graphics card short enough to fit in the case I'm using.I would definitely recommend the MSI AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech 2x OC to anyone interested in a ... MoreI purchased the MSI AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech 2x OC as an upgrade from a legacy 2016 vintage gaphics card for my April 2021 computer build. I would also recommend MicroCenter as a retailer.
I originally had a RX 580 so upgrading to a RX 6700 was a HUGE jump to make and was well worth the price. I use this PC primarily for gaming and It has been extremely smooth and consistent. The GPU has no audible coil line. It runs great with 1440 p and runs well while still staying under 70 degrees Celsius. It runs okay with a 600W power supply, even though it is recommended to use with a 650W supply. I highly recommend getting this!
