Prior to this my go to chain cleaner was WD40 chain cleaner which is as great benchmark to measure this product against. It needed a little more agitation with the chain cleaning brush, but did a great job. Its also better value than the WD40 tins which are quite small and hopefully better for the environment. I would definitely buy again.

Verified PurchaseThis stuff is pretty incredible.. spray it on and the dirt just kind of melts off the chain. I gave the chain a good dousing in this stuff, took a chain brush to it, followed it up with another scoosh of this stuff and then pressure-washed it off the chain. The chain looked almost like new afterwards. Oddly enough, it has quite a nice "fresh" smell to it (and not a harsh chemical smell like other degreasing type cleaners I've used before). But most importantly it does seem to do a good job of getting grit and grime off the chain.

This cleaner does a really good job of getting grime off a dirty chain, & the spray design seems to help that. However that also makes it really hard to apply accurately, the flexible hose, bent from being curled up in transit, isn't great for aiming. Handy for quickly cleaning off the worst after riding in treacherous conditions but I will be using other methods for regular cleans.
Works really well. It actually smells pretty good which is a big improvement from most chain cleaners and I like that that I'm putting less toxins into the eco system around my home. I also love the little sort straw where it sprays. It's very effective without flopping around. And its always on there. You don't have to put it on and off every time u use it.
Great product that I use all the time. Works better than similar products I've used. Dirt and oil just fall off the chain. Try and use sparingly as cans don't last that long. If you've got a really dirty chain, best to use a chain cleaning machine first and then use this to get any remaining tough spots.
Does what it’s meant to with a little bit of help from you. The degreaser is biodegradable so as expected, it’s not as powerful as chemical based degreasers which are not as environmentally friendly. It does thoroughly degrease and clean the chain with the help of a nice stiff nylon brush and plenty of lint free rag.
I recently received a 'gift pack' of a range of Muc Off products (sponge/oil/chain cleaner/wash fluid etc.) as a birthday gift, and to be honest all the products I have used in the pack have been incredibly good at getting my bike back to a usable state after a hack round some muddy singletrack.This was purchased to replace the can I'd used, and whilst I was there I decided to purchase the cleaning head attachment (which attaches to the can with a plastic tube). I'd used an old toothbrush in the past, but with the cleaning head on you seem to get so much more ground in dirt out of the chain links. When i finally started taking my chain maintenance seriously, this was the first chain cleaner i bought and i have absolutely no reason to change brand in future. The can size is huge so it will last a few years.I sprayed it on the chain, left to sit for maybe 5 minutes and wiped clear and the chain was "as-new" as could be expected for a chain with circa 1,000 miles.No specialist cleaning tools required, just the chain cleaning spray, hot water and a sponge.
Bought this you give my chain, jockey wheels and cassette a good clean, sprayed as instructions and was not happy with the results, so went back and sprayed liberally, agitated and hosed off withy hose pipe, chain and parts were still greasy and gritty. Ended up stripping my cassette and jockey wheels, cleaning and re-lubricating and the muck and grit that muc off didn't remove were enough to make a grinding paste and allow wear on the parts and the bike has only been ridden a handful of times. Product is useless and a waste of money.
