Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Road & Gravel Tubeless Sealant 1L #21042

I bought this with Balfe's recommendation - needed a large pouch for my gravel bike, suitable for high psi's AND an easy-pouring "spout". exactly what I needed, good value too!

This sealant does seem better than the last type used. It blocked a thorn hole in what seemed like less than a second. The previous sealant had taken several for the same hole.

I bought the tubeless sealant because they have a new formula for road and gravel tires. Only time will tell if it does its job. I would hope so.

Doesn't seal

I have used Stan's regular for MANY years but thought I would give this a try based on positive tests.The great thing about this sealant is that it does not "dry out" like Stan's. The bad thing is that it struggles to seal even small punctures. I had one that Stan's would have sealed easily but I had to use a plug to get this stuff to deal. It seals initially but then opens up again if you ride the bike! It's not just me, a friend has had exactly the same issues and is also going back to Stan's. We both have 75% of the large bottle that will just get wasted

Good gear

This stuff appears to be superior to the other brands I've used Inc Stan's (not race) Joe's and orange seal. Although I did pick up a nice big nail after the first 8 miles on fresh rubber which was obviously not going to seal, have since patched the tyre and put on a spare. For 20 odd quid you certainly get a lot for your money. And as per usual, the service, dispatch and delivery were spot on from Tredz

Just Like Magic

What wonderful stuff this sealant is, since first using some years back I've never had the hassle of having a puncture as this gem of a product sorts things out for you. Amazing how after an enduring ride you can look at your tyres and see evidence of where something has penetrated the tyre but the sealant has done it's job and without you even realising. I'm sure there are other similar products out there but my choice will always be "Muc-Off". Again another easy and hassle free transaction from my favourite online bike store.

Review of Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Road & Gravel Tubeless Sealant, 500ml

Used the sealant with Pirelli p-zero speedcore and Mavic carbon wheels. Sealed straight away with no problems, inflating with a co2 cartridge. I’ve ridden 300 miles in the last 3 weeks with no punctures, so I’m assuming that the sealant is doing its job as the roads are in a shocking state in Shropshire!

Sealant that works!

Good quality sealant at a decent price. It’s thicker than others I’ve used and generally fixes most holes. I carry tire plugs for anything too big that the sealant can’t fix which I’ve only had to do once since using this sealant on several bikes for over a year now.

Thumbs up for Muc-off sealant

I used this to top up the same sealant used by the bike shop on my road bike tyres. It seems to work well and is thicker than the stans equivalent I used on my MTBs, with small granules.Muc-off tend to make biodegradable stuff, which I applaud.Watch out not to order inner tube sealant by mistake, as I did.

Update on my review dated 20/10/19

That tiny hole that I had to use a slither of a plug in an attempt to seal, still did not seal with the Muc-Off, so I took the tyre off cleaned it up and replaced it with Stan's Race. (first time using the Race version) I pulled the slither of a plug out of the hole and after a SINGLE turn of the wheel it sealed immediately and has not let any air out since.I know that I will have to check and replace the Stan's fairly often but that will be in my garage (or warm kitchen!) and I know that any punctures whilst riding on a cold wet day Will seal!
