No sealant is perfect, so a 4 is as good as it gets. Muc-Off's works as well as Stans,, but not as well as Race Stans, which is a pain. No puncture ages better than Stans and Orange, but doesn't 'seek out the holes' as well as the others. I like it as my 'take with me ' sealant for the summer MTB trips. Works good, but is maybe too thick.

Setting up a new bike tubeless, I purchased a bottle of Muck Off No Puncture and stopped carrying a tube. I have used it for one year on three sets of tires with little success. I am running Schwalbe Pro One tubeless tires on Bontrager Aeolus 4 wheels. The latest set was loosing 40lb pressure overnight. A water test showed mini streams of bubbles through invisible holes so I topped up with extra sealant. This morning I hit something sharp that gave a clean 1MM puncture, something Stan’s would have sealed in a few seconds. Some Muck Off exited with the air in the next few minutes but did not stop the leak. This stuff appears to be superior to the other brands I've used Inc Stan's (not race) Joe's and orange seal. Although I did pick up a nice big nail after the first 8 miles on fresh rubber which was obviously not going to seal, have since patched the tyre and put on a spare. For 20 odd quid you certainly get a lot for your money. And as per usual, the service, dispatch and delivery were spot on from Tredz

I've ridden through a ton of thorns and this sealant held like a champ. I've ridden Stans before in similar situations and it works just as well IMHO, so I'd say it comes down to whatever is on sale. For an extra bonus if you have an ultraviolet light, this stuff glows in UV making it super easy to spot leaks.
What wonderful stuff this sealant is, since first using some years back I've never had the hassle of having a puncture as this gem of a product sorts things out for you. Amazing how after an enduring ride you can look at your tyres and see evidence of where something has penetrated the tyre but the sealant has done it's job and without you even realising. I'm sure there are other similar products out there but my choice will always be "Muc-Off". Again another easy and hassle free transaction from my favourite online bike store.
I really like the tube that comes with the bottle, great idea that makes adding sealant quick & clean. Also, the purple colour makes any leaks easy to spot & the scent is lovely!BUT, I've never had so many issues with tubeless tyres since trying this (small holes struggling to close, rim/tyre seal failing). After previous pain-free years of using Stans, I'll be going back to that once the Muc-Off runs out.
Mucoff make lovely biodegradable products and everything else I’ve used has been excellent, but this. Their sealant just doesn’t seal. Pin holes leak. Setting up wheels for the first time they continue to slow leak. It’s just all round painful. Thankfully it’s easy to cleanup, because you’ll be doing a lot of it. Works well as a mix to dilute a normal latex based sealant like Stans. I’ve been doing this for a few months now with good results. 5+ noticeable holes in my rear tire that have sealed immediately and continued to hold with a 50:50 mix of mucoff and Stans. Just today couldn’t get a friends wheels to seal tubeless, added a squirt of Stans and immediately solved.
Picked up a large thron in my rear tyre. Removed the tyre and the thorn. Took a while to clean off the old sealant from my rim and tyre. Refitted the tyre and followed the instructions on the bottle. Waited a few minutes and reinflated the tyre and the thorn hole sealed up well. Air pressure still perfect after a few weeks of re-sealing. Great price too from Biketart. Thanks.
Used this to convert my gravel bike to tubeless. My rims weren't specified as tubeless compatible but with gorilla tape, this sealant and a pair of Pathfinder Pro tires it's held air brilliantly.It did take a little while to initially plug all the little spots around the wheels but with a lot of shaking and rotating it did eventually hold.
Based on other reviews here, I must be very unlucky! It's not sealing, plain and simple. Different brands of tires on different sets of wheels (so I know it is not tire or rim related). Nothing but trouble. I never used tubes so often since I converted all my bikes tubeless (Trail bike, gravel bike, road bike and fat bike) It will not even seal a tiny hole made by a truck tire wire on the side of the road... Maybe I was lucky enough to never have a flat or puncture in 7 years using other brands of sealant, but it was the first and last time I used Muc-Off sealant. On a brighter not, it smeels goods and washes off easily.
