This razor has a gorgeous sleek design, but I specifically decided on it because of the more “closed” design of the head, hoping it would prevent small nicks and cuts that I’ve experienced with other safety razors. So far, it does just that! It’s very easy to use and delivers a smooth shave. I didn’t give it five stars because the handle does get rather slippery when wet, nothing that isn’t manageable though. Overall, I highly recommend, especially if you’re new to safety razors.

The Muhle companion unisex safety razor was a very mild but effective shave. I had no issues using this on my beard and I have a thick beard. But I also think this would be great for women to shave legs or armpits with also. It’s very mild and the blade is covered on all sides so it would be easy to whip around if using on the body. Very good shaving razor by Muhle.

I bought a Companion for my wife. Although it took a couple of weeks to get here (and that’s totally cool), she is extremely happy with it. She’s never used a DE safety razor and loves her new companion. The handle is great and allows for a comfortable grip when wet; which is also slightly longer than most DE razor handles, especially those us men tend to enjoy. The weight is very well balanced and even though she’s only used cartridges before, she really noticed the difference between cartridge and safety razor blade. I believe the weight and far superior blade is what really made a big difference for her. The shave is smooth and oddly quick. All in all it’s a fantastic product that I feel is fairly priced. Buy one for yourself or your special person. You and they will love it.
I heard this razor was on the mild side, which it is. There is not a lot of blade feel or blade exposure. However, that does not mean this razor is not efficient. I was able to get a very comfortable, smooth shave without any issue. This is a great razor for new shavers and experienced ones alike. I found it very easy to use and the long, slim handle feel really well balanced in my rather large hands.
