If you’re hesitant about buying this- go for it!!! My little girl had a bad case of baby acne starting at 4.5 weeks, all over her cheeks, neck, upper chest/back. Pediatrician said it would go away on its own, just to wash with water. I couldn’t just do that and searched google for answers. Putting Breast milk on it didn’t work for us sadly. As soon as I found this product I went to target to purchase and I’m so glad I did. I was a bit wary to try because some reviews said it made their babies skin worse. Although all the reviews were five stars, I have to give me a one. I use this product for my babies acne. I started to notice that his eyebrow hair was being removed. I didn’t think it was this product so when I used it one last time, I noticed that my babies eyebrows were completely gone. I looked at the cotton swabs and his little hairs were attached to it. I’m not sure what ingredients are used in this product. But if it’s strong enough to remove hair, then it shouldn’t be used on your babies.

I received this as a gift from a friend after I had my baby. It was part of a gift set with the lotion, cradle cap shampoo, and bath gel. I absolutely love all the products. They are pricey, but I feel worth it. She mentioned she would use the cleansing water on baby’s skin after a diaper change to help clean off any excess poop residue. I have done that for 9 months and I feel it’s helped prevent major diaper rash. Granted, she will get red from wiping (I try to be so careful!), but I feel better using this to also get rid of excess smell that the wipes don’t take away. For the most part this product had great reviews so I wanted to give it a try on my baby who was starting to show mild baby acne. Unfortunately, it only made it worse. My baby’s face flared up so badly. I wanted to trust the process so I continued using for a few more days and each day it just made things much worse. I also dislike that it’s a pump so it splashes everywhere even if you’re using a cotton ball and trying to dispense it carefully. I liked the scent. I don’t think it’s too strong like some reviews say. Lastly, I do think it’s too pricy for baby cleansing water.
At 3 weeks my daughter had terrible baby acne and some patches of eczema all over her face. Since the mustela cradle cap worked amazing for my previous daughter, I chose to give this a try. Within 2 days I could see a major difference! I used The stelatopia after the water twice daily and after a week, there is no scabbing, no crust and the quality of her skin is almost back to her brown complexion. I have been amazed at how well these products work especially. Sometimes it’s harder finding products that don’t strip African American skin, but this is the best find! I’m grateful for a solution that works
If I could give no stars I would. I was using this to wipe my baby down inbetween baths and she’d cry so hard every time. I assumed she didnt like that it was cold but then she was developed red inflammed bumps all over her face, neck and body and it dried her skin out horribly. Her once soft smooth skin is now ruined, its taken over 2 weeks of oatmeal and breast milk baths to calm her skin down, redness is gone but bumps are taking longer to go away.
I use to use this product when my son was a baby and I absolutely loved it. Recently decided to revisit it for my now toddler for in between baths. It winter time and the cold dry weather has really been affecting my son skin. So we are showering every other day. I use this on no bath days and my son has not been complaining about itching anymore.
This literally worked instantly by the next day it was helping. But it has a very strong smell, I was applied it three times a day with cotton ball but I think it was to much for my baby’s skin. It started burning it. So I just stoped using it on her. I’m not sure if it was to much scent and the ingredients that where causing the burning in her skin. But she had brown little scabs after a week and once I noticed it I just stoped applying it on her. So it helps but affected her skin in another way.
