Writing this review after using this small beast on couple of shoots, and I love this light. Main reason is the size, it is so small and powerful at same time. I have used the light with Softbox, and Fresnel both, but on two different scenarios. I have used this light as key for small interview setup in compact space, and in some situation been using it as hair light. Light comes as only 5500k, but with full CTO it can be used other way around. Only thing during interview set up I had to turn the fan off which leads of loose of intensity which wasn't a big deal. I have used fresnel lens with barn doors to create door shadow, and window shadows on the background, and also as main backlight for the actors. Its perfectly rectangular design makes it easy to stack a bunch of these on a Magliner but at two pounds it’s easy enough to put the shoulder strap on and get on the subway.The design of the soft box is a revelation in that it can be folded and put into its soft case without dismantling it. This means it sets up and breaks down in under 30 seconds. A perfect hair light or kicker certainly but with the strong output it makes a beautiful key light for documentary and corporate as well as a super controlled instrument for narrative.

I’m a professional Gaffer, Photographer, and Cinematographer and I have using high end lighting for past 22 years. I was looking for a small but mighty fixture that I can take anywhere. I heard about the Forza and decided to give it a try. This is a very well built well designed light. The CRI is better then leading competitor Aputure. The output is very impressive, it says it’s 60w but the output is that of a 120w. The reflector very good and efficient. Controlling the light very straight forward. The built in effects are cool not sure I would need them. The effects are not nearly as controllable as the Aputure fixtures thru sidus app. but I can see them being useful in a pinch. The power brick has relatively good IEC connection but this never my favorite because it can come loose accidentally. This is also true for the DC connection from brick to light. I feel there several better options out there. Because this light has such a small form factor it does not have a standard bowens mount. They do make adapter from small mount to bowens for $30. So if already had a bunch Bowen’s modifiers, then that is cheap solution.At the end of the day this a very capable tool for still and video use, and recommend buying this fixture.

But I loved the form factor and the minimal power consumption as compared to tungsten lights. So, when I saw this light go on sale for a few weeks, I bought it. And I am very happy I did. It doesn't flicker when dimmed nor do I notice any shift in color temp when dimmed. The form factor is great for location shooting and the light output is outstanding for it's size and power draw. They claim it's equivalent to a 500 watt tungsten - and I would say they're close although I never did a side by side comparison. I'm a photographer that has recently started shooting weddings. My employer requires I shoot in Continuous Mode, which means several frames per second. It is to cover action, which means a fast shutter(less light) which is very more difficult indoors(Church,) without a Flash(as a flash would blind people in C Mode.)It took me 3 days of online browsing about 6 hours a day to find something as small, versatile, and powerful as this. I seriously doubt I could have done better for the size. And just to understand the power/quality ahead of time I would have paid much more than $200.80 for everything, with the grip, and including 2Day. $200 isn't cheap, but to have that much power; and that size point, and versatility/accessories, I am completely satisfied! Awesome Sauce!I've actually been a portrait photographer for 10 years. I know how much light a good flash makes. This amount of light would be very easy to overexpose. At close range, with the reflector, it's almost too bright to focus with the naked eye; never mind if I had one or two white 2' disc reflectors. I can see where the S-Mount would work nicely with it's Softbox, there is plenty of power there. I'll most likely pick it up sooner than later.Attached are several images I thought would be helpful. I also purchased the battery/grip, and it fit's into the case fine as pictured, as the lid has 1/2 of space to it. These pictures were all taken today 8/24, between 4:45p-5p; and that is a South facing window, here in Boston. I did not change any of the room lights for any of the images, the image with the reflector on is exposed for the puppy. I used an iPhone 12 Pro Max for all these images.Thanks Again!
This is my second Forza 60. It works so well I wanted a second one. I use this light as a fill light with the Forza 300 for outdoor interviews, it matches perfectly. I threw out the reflector that came with it and picked up the Freznel adapter and barndoors. For such a little light it really pumps out some light. I also use it to throw background light on interviews in big rooms. I'll put some black wrap and cut a few holes and slots for a pattern. Backgrounds look great. It matches really well with my Lightpanel Astras at 5600k inside. Being such a small light it doesn't take up a lot of room either.
