The hard light soft light is a gimmick to me simply because the hard light is almost unusable due to the LED separation creating the 3 shadow effect. The soft light might be too soft.Otherwise a good light to have in the Nanlite collection that is growing in my go bag. My other beef is the one modifier this light has. One of two within the whole product line. The barn doors have to be screwed on with huge screws as if its a 15x15 or something.
