Nanoleaf Essentials A60/B22 Smart Bulb

not very bright. but most importantly not very responsive under Apple HomeKit. I had two bulbs paired in a group and they would come on and off with a 2 second lag between them. When turning on a selected colour they would display the previous colour -from last time they were on- for a fraction of a second before changing to the colour you asked for. Bad experience.

Works super well, response time from Apple home widgets is usually around 1-2 seconds if not instant. Great colour range, could be a bit brighter but still is bright enough.

A Bright Idea

Bulb is excellent with a wide range of colours and brightness, although overpriced compared to those available elsewhere. The App works (most of the time) fine, but the item listing says you get a separate mini controller to save having to use the app to change the bulbs settings, this wasn't included in the box/item or mentioned in the instructions etc so buyer beware and Very should really change their inaccurate listing.

Better alternatives than this

I tried these out and felt disapointed, I connected it to my thread enabled google hub, it worked for a while until my kids turned off the light. Once I powered it on google was no longer able to connect to it. Had to redo the whole setup process again. I have Alexa and google at home, totally not Alexa supported which has way more functionality than googles eco system. These lights I ended up sending back and went with the Phillips eco system.

Great, But very overpriced

Has features such as auto-colour temp etc that the cheaper ones don't have. Homekit makes it cost 4x more than a light bulb that only supports google/Alexa. Might buy more.

Nanoleaf Essentials trial

I purchased two Nanoleaf Essentials globes, which were easy to set up with Homekit. Whites are very strong and bright and colours are striking, but not as intense as LIFX. Nevertheless, I’m glad I purchased them. Nanoleaf globes can be paired using Bluetooth, and with Apple Homekit using HomePod Minis as a hub

As a standalone bulb it is excellent (when the app wants to connect) but extra features described in the listing such as schedules and manual remote are not included. Given I purchased this to suppliment my alarm clocks in the morning it is not up to what I purchased it for. As said, the bulb itself is great the light quality and choice of colours are fantastic but the item description feels incredibly inaccurate and the app to control the light is incredibly inconsistent with when it wants to connect or not. Safe to say if I was able I would return this item and buy another instead.

Really good! ... if you've got good internet

A good smart globe, very bright and I love the range of colours I can select. However, you need to have pretty good internet connection to have this. I had several connectivity issues where it kept telling me the light globe was unreachable even though i was less than a metre away from it. I've found that connecting to data mediates the problem for me, though it sucks I have to resort to that to use my globe. Other than that, if you've got good internet, then I definitely recommend it.

Should’ve purchased sooner

I wish I had purchased sooner. So convenient having the ability to turn the lights on and off from devices. Definitely worth it and super easy to set up.

Unreliable. Inconsistent. Avoid.

Bought 30 Nanoleaf Essential Bulbs and they have been nothing but problematic. Either they keep disconnecting from the network or change colour at random. Not worth the money and hassle.
