For some reason the circadian rhythm function never turns off. I tried scheduling it but got an error saying this function was unavailable and need to use Google home for scheduling only to find it will not connect to home. I have tried re setting in everyway imaginable including resetting and using a different account and resetting then using a different OS. I had cheap smart bulbs from China that I ordered years ago and never had a problem with. I was surprised to find for four times the price, this worked worst. Not only was this not worth the money, I'm not sure I'd be willing to try and use this thing again if I was being paid.

Don't waste your money on nanoleaf products. Period. They're overpriced gimmicks and never work properly, and when they do, it's likely just temporarily before they stop working on your network or the app stops working or your Smart hub can no longer find your lights. The NanoLeaf app is also rubbish and probably the lowest rated on your app store (check it out) it's full of bugs, crashes often, can't find lights or they're unreachable. The while ecosystem is rotten. Their support is basically nonexisted beyond continually asking you to hard or soft reset your products in a seemingly endless cycle of frustration. Save your hard earned dollars and buy a product that works every time for less. Mirabella Genio, LifX, Philips Hue to name a few. Couple of ways at looking at these. Smart lights to be useful need to do a few things well. Be bright (or low) and stable. They are excellent particularly on their connection via thread. I used with a HomePod mini and they are easily better than any other lights I have tried (LIFX and GENIO) by a country mile. Have never had a drop out. Anyone who’s had smart lights can tell you how awesome that is. The whites are bright.. however the colours are bordering below average. They appear dim and barely light up a dark room at night. The LIFX ones on the other hand could light up a stadium in comparison however they are so unstable, at least they were for me and that’s being in the exact same placement as the nanos. Kind of torn. I don’t know if I’ll keep the HomePod mini ... MoreCouple of ways at looking at these. Smart lights to be useful need to do a few things well. Be bright (or low) and stable. I don’t know if I’ll keep the HomePod mini as it is also a bit unfinished (hey Siri what’s $80 x 35 = I can’t help you with that???) but that’s another story. I’d give the LIFX 5 stars for the colour range and app but -2 for the connection issues. I’d give these a 5 star for the connection but -2 for the colours. In practical use though it’s the whites that matter so +1..

I did quite a bit of research before choosing which smart bulb to buy and have been really happy with this purchase. Connects easily and the thread connection makes control almost instant. Great brightness control and colour range. I mostly control via apple Homekit, but the nanoleaf app is also very good. Like that you can select what occurs when power outage occurs so that you can choose whether it remembers last state and applies that when the power comes back on, or stays off by default. So happy with purchase I’ve since bought additional ones
TL:DR Get a Thread border router FIRST, or buy enough to chain them together to a room that you can be 2m from a bulb. Well, if you have a "Border router" then you will probably be fine. If not? Expect to leave your phone on a ladder underneath each one for 10+ minutes as it updates software. Without a router? (not a wifi router) you need to program them via BT, which is a PITA. Range (for BT) is shocking. IF you buy enough so that you are close enough to ONE of them, then programming might be ok. My Bluetooth connection would not work 3m away (through a glass, no steel window), but 2m was fine...
I now have five of these Nanoleaf bulbs throughout the house. They are so simple to set up with HomeKit, using my HomePod mini as a home hub. I cannot fault them, the colours and the options are wonderful as is the simplicity of voice control through Siri. I am slowly but surely adding to my Smarthome Apple ecosystem, and would recommend starting as I did with one of these bulbs, just even to test out HomeKit and how simple and responsive it is.
These work well with our AppleKit smart home setup. The quality of your network (mesh is ideal) will impact whether or not these bulbs stay online. Colours are cool. Brightness is - okay.
Works decently enough 80% of the time. Sometimes al my Nanoleaf lights spend 20 seconds “updating” when all other brands are fine. Am running with a HomePod mini. It’s excellent when it works well. Disappointed it won’t be updated to the new Matter smart home standard.
I recently purchased some Nanoleaf Essential smart bulbs from Synced. The team were incredibly helpful with very quick responses to my initial questions over WhatsApp. Once I decided to proceed with my purchase the bulbs arrived in less than 3hrs! Amazing. The Nanoleaf bulbs themselves are excellent. Easy to install, integrate into my HomeKit setup, and control with Siri voice commands. The whites are bright with superb Circadian lighting options. The colours are less bright but more than enough to give any room a coloured accent. Synced were also great after the initial sale - with several follow up messages to ensure I was happy with the product. Having continuous problems with some of my Nanoleaf bulbs. I have swopped out to new bulbs several times in an attempt to fix the problem. One or two bulbs seem to stop listening to commands and at bed time if they do listen and turn off within 15 minutes one will turn itself on and burn throughout the night if you had fallen asleep. Or you wake up and see there is a light on somewhere and you then have to manually get up and turn the power off at the light switch...
