The liquid is not clear. It contains lots of bits in it that sink to the bottom and settle an inch deep at the bottom. Disgusting. I can only presume there was a huge problem at the manufacturing plant and bits of solid olives have got into the bottles. How on earth nobody noticed is beyond me. Not fit for purpose. Dont buy.

I bought this because my usual basic olive oil was out of stock. Big mistake. I didn't realise it came in a plastic bottle and the first few times we used it, any kind of grip caused bug spillages. Environmentally unfriendly and impractical in one bad packing decision. Ocado shouldn't stock any olive oil in plastic bottles, there really is no need.

Taste was off so I put it in the fridge to see if it thickens and surprise it was still liquid after 24 hours, it should've coagulate after an hour at most but even after 24 hours it was still liquid. Most likely this had 5% of olive oil in it or none and it's just bad quality vegetable oil (read, GMO cheap, toxic and with chlorophyll added for color and taste / there is a real mafia in the olive oil industry, cca. 70% of supermarkets olive oils are fake to some degree) No matter how bad is the quality if it's real and close to 100% olive oil it should thicken when cold. Ordered ASDA Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500ml and when it arrived today it was coagulated (like thick gel and barely could get a drop out of the bottle) as it was pretty cold outside hence the ... MoreTaste was off so I put it in the fridge to see if it thickens and surprise it was still liquid after 24 hours, it should've coagulate after an hour at most but even after 24 hours it was still liquid. Made the swap to this olive oil as its cheaper than the bottle I usually buy. I dont find it much different in taste or quality. However, I dont like that it comes in a plastic bottle. The bottle does get floppy as youre holding it to pour, so spillages do occur. Hence three stars instead of four.
In my opinion this bears no relation to proper extra virgin olive oil. It has no peppery kick and lack flavour and aroma. Its completely overpriced for what may as well be any old cooking oil. Wouldnt put it on a salad
This is an excellent product. It can be used for cooking and also on salads and various breads. This oil has benefits healthwise that other oils lack. This is a quality product and offers good value for money.
This bottle is in a very useful size , especially for those, like myself, preferring to use the substance in possibly a fresher format, when there is a smaller amount to use that quickly rather than having a large bottle around for some period of time, nice flavour of olive oil, easy to use for salads and frying varying food substances
wont use the cheaper olive oils (asda 's own included) as youll find if you read the labels that mostly theyre refined and that's not such a good process...but napolina is one brand who makes sure their extra virgin oil is made by mechanical means only!!....Extra virgin olive oils are not processed or refined. It is said that you do not make extra virgin olive oil, you find it. Extra virgin olive oil is essentially "fresh squeezed" from the fruit of the olive tree, without alteration of the color, taste, and nutrients or vitamins. Because of the integrity of the product, and its antioxidant components, olive oil will keep longer than all other vegetable oils
