Last month I purchased this, I had used this before, after my purchase it was just okay I tried it again today and it did seem to separate and oxidize and overall gave a dry complexion but the coverage lasted. Also, contact with water makes it even cakier (I have combination skin and I had used hydrating water based products before this to prep my skin). It seems like a mid product however, my biggest issue was that I right now am on holiday and I had packed this foundation safely and made sure it wouldn't break or cause any leakage with all my other products in my makeup bag included with this foundation (keep in mind I brought another foundation along with me which was perfectly fine and nothing happened to) this seemed to be the only product that leaked all over ... MoreLast month I purchased this, I had used this before, after my purchase it was just okay I tried it again today and it did seem to separate and oxidize and overall gave a dry complexion but the coverage lasted. It seems like a mid product however, my biggest issue was that I right now am on holiday and I had packed this foundation safely and made sure it wouldn't break or cause any leakage with all my other products in my makeup bag included with this foundation (keep in mind I brought another foundation along with me which was perfectly fine and nothing happened to) this seemed to be the only product that leaked all over when I went to use it, the inside of the packaging and over the whole bottle the foundation was completely smeared wasting a large sum of product. Supposedly it shouldn't have leaked as there were two barriers to it which were the lid and pump but clearly, that was no use to protect it and the packaging was cheap material that gave access to spillsures. I would rather purchase the pump separately than have it come with the foundation because it causes this mess and doesnât serve its function properly. Overall quality wise Iâm disappointed considering the price point. May be overhyped for what it provides and personally it was a wasteful purchase in my opinion and experience unfortunately.
This is such a beautiful foundation and I can see why itâs so popular. I was late on the bandwagon with this product but Iâm so glad Iâve finally given it a go. It feels so lightweight on the skin and gives a skinlike finish so it doesnât look like Iâve got foundation on. It has a light to medium coverage and the shade Fiji works perfectly for my skin tone. Only downside to this and the reason Iâve deducted a star is because there is no pump included, it has to be bought separately. Which is unlike the Nars Radiant Longwear foundation which does come with a pump. I can just gently pour the right amount of foundation onto my hand to then pick it up with my beauty blender, but I donât understand why this foundation would lack a pump when the other one includes a pump. ... MoreThis is such a beautiful foundation and I can see why itâs so popular. Bought as an alternative to EL Double wear and fairly pleased. It has great coverage without feeling too heavy. I normally wear Bare Minerals powder foundation over my Double wear but it didn't look great over this one but it does look pretty decent it's own, perhaps a setting spray would be better. It does show some pores and lines but not badly so does need a primer/finisher to smooth out. YSL touch eclat primer, which is not the best primer, did not work with this well. Better on its own. One drawback is the colour matcher which said Punjab matches Desert Beige in the EL one and would have gone about 2 shades lighter so balancing up with a light concealer. Good for a try but for work/special occasions will stick to Double wear.
This foundation is a little misleading with the claims. I am combo skin type and right after I put it on, I had been resting my hand on my chin reading something on my computer and all of the foundation in that spot was gone. So I tested it further and lightly swiped my finger on my forehead and sure enough all the foundation that was there came off. Again, this is like an HOUR after putting it on⌠it was also clinging to dry patches and just looked really splotchy and un even, scary to think about what it would look like after a full busy 8-10 hour day.. it also was LIGHT medium coverage.. I have some acne scarring and it was definitely poking through. some pros: shade match is decent and texture wasnât emphasized too much. When my previous holy grail of foundation underwent a really horrible formula change, I was pretty devastated. But man did Nars come through! I have very sensitive skin + rosacea and find my tone is a bit hard to match. I tested pretty much every foundation on the block. This is one of the first foundations that didnât leave my skin redâand yes this sounds like the marketing, but it really did make my skin much less irritated even after I took it off. It has a great full to medium coverage look depending on how you apply it (I like my freckles to show through a bit!). I prefer a more moisturizing formula so was happy with the dimethicone base. But if you want something that is a little more cream-to-powder/water-based try the light reflecting version (same shades different feel). I love that this one is truly fragrance free and does not have any irritating preservatives. Oh. And it lasts forever. I use this daily and get about 6 months of use out of a single bottle. I would highly recommend the Yukon shade for fair skin with a pink/red undertone, but also am impressed with the diversity in the shade range overall. I should also noteâthis went on as a shade that looked a bit too sallow for my skin initially, but then dried to a perfect match. If you are trying this on, Iâd highly recommend waiting a bit until it dries as the difference can be quite dramatic. Overallâa fantastic pick!
This foundation is my all time favorite for myself as well as my makeup kit. Been using it since the first day it came out. Even tho I have other foundations, depending on the job and client/talent and when in doubt. I always know that this foundation will perform and look how I want it to be. It covers well and seamlessly and look smooth. Little goes along way. I Do Not want them ever to change this foundation. I have the Light Reflecting which to me is a more lighter radiant coverage. But I still can make this Natiral Radiant Long wear look like the light reflecting foundation. It's very versatile too. So I love this foundation. Which they would start making a travel size tho. Cuz to carry a full bottle sometimes takes a lot of space and concerns me if it breaks ... MoreThis foundation is my all time favorite for myself as well as my makeup kit. For reference, I have a combination skin (oily T-zone, dry patches on cheeks, etc.), I have a good skincare routine, and I always have a well-moisturized base before I apply any foundation. And this foundation was still cakey. The foundation is thick and dries fairly quickly, making it a pretty pasty consistency. I don't think this is very flattery on the skin. I think dense and heavy formulas like this emphasize my pores and make it very obvious I have makeup on (which is something many other natural foundations do not do).The foundation had a natural finish on me, but I think most people would think this is a matte finish. The finish wasn't flat, but when people say radiant/natural finish they usually mean the foundation had a wet look or some type of shine. And this did not.NARS' shade range is below minimum, especially in comparison to other brands today. NARS has increased the price of this foundation to 52 dollars (which is crazy in and of itself) but the quality has not increased. The shade range and formula are outdated and are especially not deserving of this price tag. There are other foundations that are cheaper and provide the same if not better coverage, finish, and lasting power.+1 star for longevity (the foundation does last all day)+1 star for the finish (Even though I hated the texture, I like the natural slight glow from within)I used to love NARS, but after trying more foundations on the market, I've realized NARS is overpriced, and there is much better out there... no offense.
