In fact, it was only because I needed to write this review that I even realized this i supposed to be a moisturizer as I just can't use it as one with the dry state of my nose and t zone I am left with after wearing this.If a powder bronzer is able to do a partial job that this tinted moisturizer SPF couldn't, it can only mean this is a bad formula for someone with any unevenness in skin tone or dryness.

I finally ran out of my holy grail Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer (the old formula) and I was forced to try another brand because the new Laura Mercier formula is terrible. I really didn’t expect to like this one that much, but it’s really nice! Very very skin-like and buildable coverage. Dare I say, better coverage than the Laura Mercier and it doesn’t move around as much. My skin looks nearly flawless. I only buy prestige foundation, primer, concealer, and tinted moisturizers. I love trying what I haven't tried before. I have been around the block a few times when it comes this topic, okay? This tinted moisturizer is so difficult to work with. It doesn't sit well over any primer I have tried whether silicone, water, or oil based. It doesn't sit well over sunscreen. It doesn't sit well over any of my serums that I have tried. It is not buildable. It looks terrible with powder over it. It looks terrible with setting spray over it. I bought Terre Neuve, however it is spelled, which is marketed as having pink undertones. It is too yellow. So I chose this to use, alongside with concealer for a light "no make up" make up look for my everyday face. This tinted moisturiser has light coverage, keeping my skin hydrated through the day and also giving it a luminous glow. I have dry skin so the fact I can layer an extra moisturiser is great. Not only that, I love how it also has sun protection too, as that is a compulsory factor I always make sure to have in my skin care/make up ritual. I have seriously rehabbed my moisture barrier and am now able to use this tinted moisturizer. My skin is now normal to dry. The product finish is velvet/skin like. Much more matte than I thought with it being labeled radiant, but I love that it’s not dewy. Doesn’t cling to dry spots, very light coverage over acne and redness but evens out my skin tone. I got 1.2 Gotland and it looks very peach on a swatch, but blends very true to my skin tone with either my hand, a brush or a sponge. My skin is a fair to light neutral with overtone redness. I've used this product, near daily, since 2010. It's important to note that it is not a foundation, it's a tinted moisturizer, so it's not really meant to apply over a primer, which where I feel some of the negative reviewers went wrong with their application. However I did stipple it on with a brush, once, over Tatcha The Silk Canvas solid primer when I forgot to pack actual foundation for a wedding, and my face looked completely flawless! The finish is beyond seamless and just looks like good skin (even-toned and dewy). Again, its not foundation so it's not meant to completely cover imperfections (though it does have amazing pigmentation for this type of product), which is another way I think negative reviewers went wrong with their expectations. I've found it best to just lightly tap concealer where I want more coverage, then lightly dust the smallest amount of By Terry Hyaluronic Loose HydraPowder all over for oil control without any of the dryness/cakiness that other setting powders tend to create. If I want some oomph/color, I use Anastasia Brow Wiz, tap on Nars The Multiple in South Beach and Orgasm before dusting on the hydrapowder and apply Benefit 24-hr Brow Setter as a final step before I leave my house. No one ever asks me what makeup I use, they only ask how my skin always looks so good.I have very oily skin and this has never caused a single clogged pore or breakout. The times I've strayed and tried other products over the years, thinking newer formulas might be better, I've always come right back to this. It is absolutely the best product for people who want to look polished, but still want their skin to look like skin!
