Nature Valley Crunchy Family Variety Granola Bars 12 Pack

These bars are a delicious snack anytime and are so easy to stick in a pocket or purse. They are a must at our house. Nature Valley bars have always been a go to for camping and hiking. Also great for a mid-day snack. I like them because they are healthy and easy to transport. Just make sure you have some water as they can sometimes be a bit dry. Just be careful when opening the package and eating the bars. It is a guarantee that the bag will have some crumbs in it before you open it. It is also a guarantee that you will make a few crumbs while eating it. This is because these bars are hard and breakable, as opposed to other granola bars, which are chewy. Overall, I would recommend these granola bars to anyone who is looking for a healthy snack with few calories.

I wouldn’t exactly say these are super healthy and low in sugar, but yes, they do contain fiber and are a great treat. With whole-grain oats and no high fructose corn syrup you don’t need to feel guilty. We use them for kid breakfasts when we are running late or snacks in between soccer games. They provide a subtle energy boost and are also filling. My favorite part is the crunch which makes me feel like I’m indulging in the dessert. They can be found at all grocery stores, and even a BJ’s and Costco and the giant boxes.

Great in Any Kind Yogurt! Crush them first.

Great in yogurt. Leave the 2 bars in the package. I take a hammer to it and pound it until crushed - not powder dust - but large to x-large crumbs. I have been doing this since forever since granola bars hit the market. I open the yogurt (any flavor, regular or greek) and pour them in; and stir it up well. You can also throw in some fresh fruit. Now they sell yogurt with the crumblies. This is a lot cheaper way to go.

NASTY, DRY, TASTELESS, SAWDUST BRICKS

These are gross! They are dry, with very little to no flavor and are like eating sawdust pressed into a brittle brick. There isn't any honey flavor to them or anything sweet to them like I expected from what's on the box and wrapping on the bars. They are crunchy. like a dry brick made from saw dust mixed with dried grains compressed into small brittle boards or bricks. Before trying to eat one of these,, oat brick grain board things, be sure you have something to wash it down with. And don't eat more than one until you find out how much that it swells up after you wash the dry stuff down and out of your mouth.Unfortunately, I bought a box of 4 dozen, that's 48 of the things. Maybe I'll save them for Halloween and pass them out instead of candy. Maybe not. Around here that would get my house and cars egged, repeatedly. I will probably end up eating all of them, eventually, since the things are so dry that they will probably keep for-ev-er.

Simply Delicious

Just picked these up today. Two small thin, larger than wafers, crunchy delicious sweet with not overwhelming taste of peanut butter to where one can savor the oats. Has a great crunch. And when reading the reviews I saw where they pounded lightly the package to break the bar up to put into plain yogurt. Will try this tip later. The reason I am writing this is because I just ate a pack of these and enjoyed them so much, hope you do as well.....

Packaging on individual granola bars was horrible. The first one I opened was soft, like air/moisture had gotten to it. I sampled another one and it was very dry (as it should be), upon further inspection half of the bars were dry and half were not. The few bites I had of the first bar made me ill. Turned me stomach inside out and made my skin itch.Absolutely disgusts me to think/write about it.I will not be purchasing this product again.

Taste different/stale like quality

Just purchased a box of these…expiration date is October 2022 so that can’t be it. Immediately noticed 2 things 1) the texture has a stale like quality. No longer as crispy/crunchy. 2) the taste is also different. They now possess more of a bland, flat taste—now they are just sweet without the depth of flavor. Looked on line to see if they have changed the recipe and it seems they did at some point—don’t know when as the article wasn’t dated. Apparently this change was in an attempt to make them easier to eat?!? Seriously, if this was done as an improvement you have definitely missed the mark. Won’t be purchasing again. The rest of the box will be fed to the wildlife in my backyard.

VERY DISSATISFIED

I have always loved the Nature Valley Granola bars, however I was very upset with these. They were very stale, and looked as if they came from old stock. I thought at first that it may just be a bad one that may have gotten a tiny hole in as it was being packaged and became stale. But now I find they are all like this! I also realized that the dates were different on them. I don’t know what has happened, but these went into the trash! I would not recommend these to anyone now. Hopefully this will not become a habit of Nature Valley’s products. contained information i couldn't verify correctly or understand why metal and plastic aren't identified separately. also weight vs. consumption DV percentage confusing! also labled for dro off hower Penut containing food products have been recalled due to salmonella i recently noticed on my states website and ive pulled everything i could containing penuts off my shelf still in progress reprting it. the wildlife and birds especially have been getting nothing from me as i try to find a suitable replacement still in progress from the state and libraries. still confusing but what can you do but keep trying.
