I loved the bags, but on the new Softail frame the rear most left side mount and the belt guard will collide if you bottom out the suspension. Had them on a '21 FXBBS

I liked the saddlebags. But the mounting bracketsdo not fit a 2002 softail duce strut bolt pattern, even though the website said they were an exact fit. Returned them for an exchange.

These saddle bags are really great. Very sturdy, easy to install, so happy with them!
I purchased these saddlebags for my 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S Cafe, which has the solo luggage rack mounted to the rear fender. Bottom line up front: These bags work great! I got them a week ago, and I've put about 100 highway miles on since installing them. They worked wonderfully: no shifting or noticeable drag, and the contents stayed put too. They're large enough to hold a pair of sneakers, rain gear, a bag of chips and jar of salsa (I was going to a potluck).Installation, however, was trickier than I anticipated due to two unexpected difficulties. The first was trouble with the luggage bolts (a bike problem, not a luggage problem). Anyway, after much back and forth to the hardware store to get the proper bolts, I got that fixed. The second difficulty was that the placement of the bolts on the top of the rear fender clashed with the wide top straps. The straps curve, and, though the bags can slide an inch or two forward or backward on the mounting rails, the straps still covered one of the bolt holes, and I needed both bolts clear for the luggage rack. The only way I could get the top straps to lay flat and not cover a bolt was to put the bags on backward. Not ideal; however, it didn't seem to affect performance at all. Also, since I do have the luggage rack installed on the back fender, it helps secure the top straps since I ran them underneath. I don't consider either of those issues worth dropping the rating.
