Nerf Super Soaker XP50-AP Blaster

I was pumped to have the same one I had as a kid only revamped to work better. Well it doesn’t work better. They replaced the fill port which is a nice update, however, it no longer has the straw inside the so the gun has to be completely level or tilted up to squirt water. It only shoots a strong steam half the time, mostly a mist or trickles out. When you do get a steady stream it doesn’t go very far. My inner child was very disappointed and will be returning.

The Super Soaker 50 was the original Super Soaker, and the 50 meant it was supposed to shoot 50 feet. This is a new design that looks identical to the original but does not shoot 50 feet. The farthest I could get it to shoot was 25-30 feet. It would be more honest if the product specified the number of feet this water gun shoots instead of mislead people with the number XP50. Also difficult to shoot. Will probably return this.

I was looking for a fun summer toy for my kids ages 7-13years old. I will definitely be buying more of these. They work great. You put water in from the top, then put the cap back on, pump the gun and press trigger. It shoots easily at least 20ft. I also loved that it has a small screen where the water goes into the gun area so if the kids are filling it outside or from a bucket the grass and dirt stays out of it. It was easy to get out of the package. The kids had a blast playing with this super soaker.
