Nespresso Essenza Mini Original Espresso Machine by De'Longhi, Lime

I previously had a Mixpresso brand but it started having problems after 7 months. It never really made excellent espresso, would have issues fully puncturing the pods and it was really loud, so bad I had to fold a dish towel and put the machine on top of that to help the vibration and noise. Decided to go with the real deal and got this Nespresso machine. And it’s quieter than the bigger Nespresso machines. So far it works great! Makes great espresso. I haven’t had it very long so if I start having issues I will update my review. But I definitely can tell a quality difference between Nespresso and the knockoff brand.

Awesome machine, doesn’t take up too much space, and have never had ANY issues whatsoever with it not working properly or anything. I received this as a gift from my parents and can’t really comment regarding the price. I took off one star because a) it would be nice if it were a little taller as some of my larger mugs don’t fit underneath it and b) it is only compatible with the nespresso pods (which is pretty normal for any machine for a given brand) which are prettyyy expensive, and are not sold everywhere, so may need to be ordered online. Overall though I love the machine and it allows me to make a beautiful cappuccino at home anytime I want!

Love my mini Nespresso machine! High quality coffee in the convenience of your home. This model is perfect for limited counter space, and aesthetics. I have had 0 issues with this model (I’ve had it for 2 years!), unlike some of the newer models. Plus, the smaller pods produce less waste.

There aren't enough amazing things I can say about this mighty little pot! I used to be a Starbucks twice a day girl but we all know how expensive that is! After using this, I haven't been back to Starbucks! I absolutely love how easy it is to use, clean and store! This makes amazing coffee and it tastes better than the $8 drinks from the drive through! It is the perfect edition to my coffee bar!

I’ve been using Nespresso machines for +6 years and can’t live without one. I used both Vertuo Original, personally I like Original better. Both tastes amazing and are compact/nice design. Original has more capsule options. These never break and functions really well and also super easy to use! Highly recommend this if you love coffee and if you are looking for compact machine for your place!

This product is a hit and miss, for the first year sometimes it would make perfect coffees sometimes it wouldn’t. It started tasting like dirt after a year so I put it away and then 6 months later I got it back out to try again. Coffee was perfect again for about a year until it went bad again and every pod was coming out tasting like water. Spend a bit more on a real coffee machine, I wish I had.

Essenza Mini makes great espresso

This was a gift for my daughter and my review is based on testing it once. The Essenza seems to make a larger quantity of stronger coffee than my Pixie that I've had for years. This is the biggest and most important plus! It is compact and cute and perfect for a college apartment. The downsides are the thin plastic that attaches the water tank to the coffee maker--seems less sturdy than the Pixie's tank and might break easily. Also, the short height of the machine won't accommodate taller coffee mugs, but removing the drip base helps. Overall, we are happy with the Essenza Mini!

The strength of the coffee is rated on a scale from 4 through 12, with 12 being the strongest. I've not seen anything below 4, which is already pretty weak. Even the stronger capsules stay on the soft side of bitterness.The Mini comes with a sample box of Nescafe capsules, including a couple which are decaffeinated. These are also rated for strength (same scale). I was surprised at how good they were.At the same time, capsules are available from other sources. They are rated on a similar scale. You can find them on Amazon, but we found capsules from Peets coffee, and from Archer Farms in stock in the coffee section at Target. I am not a sophisticated coffee drinker, but I found them equally enjoyable.Finally, having an espresso maker at home has allowed us to experiment with a quick version of Vietnamese Coffee. A tablespoon or two of sweetened condensed milk in a Lungo sized cup, filled with one of the stronger coffees, does the trick.

Power-packed little machine!

Lots of different combinations of coffee/milk/flavors to explore with this little machine that takes up a small amount of room on my kitchen counter. It's quick to brew a ristretto or espresso. You can make your drink as strong as you wish. I also bought a milk frother from Sur La Table and am having fun making drink combinations for friends and family.

Stop hesitating and buy it!

I've only had this a few days, but I've drank enough espresso to light up Vegas lol.1: it's small, really small, in the best way. It takes up so little counter space.2: I've noticed no quality/flavor difference between the espresso and Lungo sizes, it's not watery tasting on the Lungo with the Nespresso brand pods.3: it's quiet, really quiet.
