Purchased this Nespresso machine after a ton of research and we’ve been using it every single day for the past 5 years, and absolutely love it! Sturdy, quiet, and very well made. I like that the front grate is made out of stainless steel rather than plastic. Milk container is removable and can me placed in the fridge. It does come with a water spout that can be used in the same spot as the milk jug. It’s easy to clean and we’ve had no issues with it whatsoever. It takes the original Nespresso pods, which are more affordable and widely available. Coffee always tastes so good, from regular espressos to fancy lattes! Love it!

I purchased this machine about 6 months into the pandemic, around Black Friday. Working from home was getting stale, but I also didn't want to drive out just to get coffee every day. I scoured Facebook and Reddit to determine which of Nespresso's many machines would best suit me. Since I don't drink drip, I opted for an Original Line (OL) machine that only makes espresso. I wanted a machine that integrated milk capabilities as I don't drink my espresso straight up. This machine is well-built - I haven't had any problems with it thus far, and maintain it with the recommended cleaning cycles. Options include ristretto, espresso, and lungo pulls; milk options include latte macchiato, cappuccino, and steamed milk. I personally use oat milk, and have heard from others that most alternative milks work just fine in the machine, as well. Nespresso has a ton of flavor options and put out new flavors multiple times a year, so there's really something for everyone. The quality of the coffee is top-notch, and definitely smoother in taste than Starbucks. The only thing that's missing is an ice maker for iced drinks. 😆 Love my Nespresso! (So much that I bought many machines as gifts for friends and family.)

This machines makes amazing espresso and espresso based drinks. It has espresso settings for ristretto, espresso and lungo shots as well as Latte, machiatto and straight milk. It also comes with a nozzle for hot water dispensing. It fires up pretty quickly and brew you a shot in less than 15 seconds. I do have to say that for a $500+ machine, the frother isn't the greatest; there's isn't that quality layer of thick frothed milk, it more like squirts warm milk into your cup. The frother does have adjustment levels, but I haven't had luck changing it, even trying different milks and creams (including Half and Half and heavy whipping cream). The cream container comes off for fridge storage and is self cleaning. The pods come in at $.80 per pod on the high end for the ... MoreThis machines makes amazing espresso and espresso based drinks. They also have special pods for iced beverages. Overall I am satisfied with this machine. One Con, it occasionally likes to overheat and you have to just wait it out. The machine has an on/off button, so you don't have to wait 9 minutes for auto-shutoff like on other Nespresso models.

Disappointing
20 May 2023

Bought this after my original Latissima finally gave out after years. Easy to use but doesn’t have heat adjustment and I find the coffee and milk don’t get hot enough. Some parts of the milk frothing jug are difficult to get apart for cleaning. Also this machine requires descaling much more often than my old one - around every 3 months. Disappointed in this machine.

I love this machine.
2 September 2020

I've had it for almost 5 years. I originally bought it for my office. I had it there for probably 3 years, but nearly poisoned myself I drank so much coffee (my dentist told me I had to dial it down). It was too easy to just make cup after cup and I went through my day. The capsule colors are fun, the flavors are interesting to try out (I'm a strict Nespresso capsule user), and the recycling is easy too. Even using the milk jug or the hot water for tea or Americanos is easy and simple to clean up. One day my husband, a not-very-picky coffee drinker, announced he wanted an espresso machine. It was after a trip to Europe. So I brought the Latissima Pro home. I mostly make lattes; he does straight espresso. He loves it, I love it but no longer abuse it, and we have never had a a problem with since purchasing it in 2015. Highly recommended. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it is really too easy and that can lead to problems. I have a deeply held belief that I should be roasting and grinding my own beans and using a machine that requires tamping the grounds, loading the brew group into the machine, then playing with dials to make perfect coffee from a machine that costs over $2000 and takes half an hour to clean, so somehow with this machine I am cheating, so the 4/5 stars is really for myself and my laziness and not for this great machine.

Lots to like about this

Lots to like about this machine. Compact size, quick startup, automated frothing and cleaning of the milk dispenser, a small but very usable variety of drinks in the menu all making this the go to for a fast cup and at an affordable price vs other semiautomatic machines. Really enjoying my coffee!

I am really enjoying this Nespresso machine. Just for some background perspective, I used to own a semi-automatic espresso machine that required trying to find the perfect grind settings, packing the grounds with the right amount of pressure and frothing milk with a steam wand. I don't claim to be a coffee "snob" or expert by any means, and although it was a great machine, it was too much hassle and mess for me to use regularly. I just wanted a great tasting espresso with no fuss. Now that I've switched to this machine, I'm enjoying my espresso drinks daily. I love that the milk is automatically frothed and dispensed into the cup when making a cappuccino or macchiato. Since it's programmable, the amounts of milk and espresso can be changed according to your liking, and the degree the milk is frothed can be adjusted as well. The parts in the milk pitcher are cleaned by turning the frothing knob all the way to the right after each drink. Every few days I take it apart and put the parts into the dishwasher (because the parts are small, I recommend using a baby basket or mesh bag on the top rack). It's been so easy to use and no water or coffee grounds all over the counter. I also appreciate that Nespresso has a recycling program for their capsules. My husband enjoys his americanos with the hot water dispenser. As far as temperature goes, although the milk based drinks are not searingly hot, I feel that the temperature is just right for drinking immediately, whereas my husband has to let his americanos cool down for some time before they're comfortable enough for him to drink. I had been considering this machine for several months before finally taking the plunge and purchasing it, and I'm so glad I did. Bed Bath & Beyond's price couldn't be beat between the sale and 20% off coupon, and it was delivered quickly. I would definitely recommend waiting for a sale to get the best value. Very happy with this purchase!

I have had my previous De'Longhi Nespresso machine for 13 years, but an internal valve no longer shuts off correctly, so I bought the current nec plus ultra-version. This is well-designed and does what it says on the box. The only gripe is that the instruction manual is written in illegible characters and does not explain how to use the "settings" menu although more information is available on the Web. It also prompts the user as to what to do next to change the output volumes of milk and coffee, etc.

Bought this machine online in week two of the pandemic shutdown, when it became clear that I was going to need a replacement for my daily coffeeshop runs. I selected this version based on the online reviews supplementing my own experiences with less elaborate Nespresso machines (at every AirBnB in Europe) as well as high end DeLonghi units at the homes of several friends. My concern about the wastefulness of pods was addressed by Nespresso's free system for recycling. The machine is well designed, sleek, and fits into the counterspace easily. Great system for winding up the cord to just the right length. The variety of options is excellent. I'm a cappuccino girl and this doesn't disappoint. Great system for winding up the cord to just the right length. The variety of options is excellent. I'm a cappuccino girl and this doesn't disappoint. The setup for milk foaming is much easier than other versions and works very well. Clean up at first seemed like alot, but quickly became a 2 minute routine. I recommend purchasing a baby bottle dishwasher basket for easiest cleaning/sterilizing of the various pieces of the milk steamer. As for the coffee, I'm loving the taste/preparation of the espresso and cappucinos. They are the perfect size and proportions of milk/foam to coffee. These are not 'Starbucks sizes', but rather the version you would receive at a cafe in Italy. When I need more, I just do it twice into the same cup (with a new pod). As the weather has warmed I've easily transitioned to adding ice. It's fun to experiment with the various coffee types - I recommend Columbia for a smooth finish. Better-Stevia makes liquid sweeteners with flavors that are also fun to add.Overall, this has been a wonderful, if pricey addition to my kitchen counter. With the possibility of working from becoming a long term scenario, I will have plenty of time to offset the cost with a reduction in my coffee shop visits.

great tasting convenient coffee drinks. level up!
22 January 2023

we've had this machine for two years. It brews great coffee. we use the built-in drinks or add espresso shots to our drip coffee, or just warmed, frothy milk to other drinks. The control panel is convenient, and the built-in descaler program works well. buy their kit; vinegar can damage the insides.
