Yes! The benefit of our Sassy Straight Up Nappy is that you can dome up the sides to the appropriate size and then pull them up like undies. Just make sure that you check that the fabric with the side snaps is flat against your little one's hips and is not bunched up. What are the inserts made of? There are two inserts, the larger is bamboo and cotton, and the smaller one is hemp. Natural fibres are known for their high level of absorbency and are of course better for the skin. Together they are a great combo. Do I need to stuff the inserts? No, due to the inserts being natural fibres they can go straight against the skin. You will find that they sit better when stuffed but many have no issues when just laying them on top and snapping them to the front of the nappy shell. If you are toilet training laying it on top may speed up the process as some children do this faster when they can feel the wetness in their nappy. What are the best inserts to use with my nappies? The best inserts are generally the ones that come with your nappy as they are designed to fit the best. If you are switching out inserts then look for natural fibre options are they have more absorbency like bamboo or hemp. You can mix and match the different nappy insert fibres to find a combination that works for your child or add in extra absorbency, just don’t make it too bulky or you will get leaks. Bamboo - Bamboo is a natural fibre and can hold a large amount of moisture. Being a natural fibre they can be used against your baby’s skin meaning that you do not have to stuff them into a pocket. They are great for heavy wetters and for night time use. They do take a while to dry but are worth it. Hemp - Hemp is the thirstiest fabric used for inserts and it holds a lot of moisture.
