I really adore Neutrogena's New Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser foaming formula which did not leave my dry skin feeling completely stripped. I was pleasantly surprised at this product and when I looked at the ingredients, I am noticing Neutrogena is improving their skincare and even their newer sunscreens vastly which I appreciate SO much from the brand itself! This cleanser is perfect to use at night after a cleansing balm as a double cleanse, or if you have excess sebum (oily skin) lucky you bc many of us lose those lipids as we age and I strongly believe oily skin types (as frustrating as it can be as I had an excess sebum production suffering from severe cystic acne covering my entire face for several years..), I wouldn't wish acne on anyone...but oily skin types are easier when finding products especially oily skin, the wiser someone is in yrs equates to less rapid aging so long as the skin is properly cared for. if I'm wrong, please let me know what your thoughts are? I'd love to know! I'd recommend this product to any type of skin, oily, combo, dry, even on acne... if you have any acne or texture please opt for the Fragrance-free version! The Price is approximately $11 for 12 oz, but one only needs 1 pump at the most! I enjoy using those reusable cotton rounds (I found a 3-pack at Dollar Tree) with this soap for added exfoliation! Just be careful to only use them when your skin really needs it bc exfoliating can be harsh a washcloth can often be enough! I prefer chemical exfoliants, unless mechanical exfoliants are made with beads (such as Peach Lilly or anything that's not abrasive...and you don't have to scrub these mechanical exfoliants into the skin, just gently wipe them on. Give this a try especially if you're looking for a basic, every-day cleanser that will not clog pores, is dye-free, soap-free, hypoallergenic, rinsed clean without that tight feeling so your natural oils remain in tact! (Cleanse as often as Your skin needs! Over cleansing doesn't mean it will work quicker! This can just be counterintuitive.) Hope this helps!

At first I thought it seemed too watery. It wasn’t what I was used to. However, I began to notice that my skin was feeling so soft and it began to have a beautiful natural shine. This works great to clean your face. If you’re wearing a face full of makeup, I highly recommend double cleaning. I use Then I Met You’s Living Cleansing Balm as my oil based cleanser, then I rinse and follow up with this Neutorgena cleanser and my skin has truly never looked better or felt softer. I have sensitive skin that is easily irritated. I know the texture/consistency may not be what you are used to but you definitely get used to it. It becomes really hydrating and enjoyable to use. I highly recommend this cleanser!!

Best cleanser for highly sensitive & dry skin!!

I am 40 years old and have tried almost every cleanser out there ranging from low end to high end products. This cleanser is the absolute best I have ever tried. I have health issues that wreak havoc on my skin and body and finding skincare that works is difficult. I will use this cleanser forever. It doesn't irritate my skin or cause additional dryness or sensitivity. It leaves my skin soft, smooth and calm without ever feeling tight, dry, itchy or red. I really hope Neutrogena never changes this formula or discontinues this product. So many of us with ongoing health issues rely on consistency within our skin, body and haircare products. I hope this is around forever. Would definitely recommend this product for anyone with highly sensitive skin and dryness.

Best cleanser for sensitive acne-prone skin!

I'm currently in my mid-30s and have always struggled with acne; I've struggled even harder to find a cleanser that works without drying my sensitive skin out. I was a bit skeptical using this product since it doesn't have benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, but have so far found this product to work surprising well (been using a few weeks). I use this along with a benzoyl peroxide treatment cream and daily lotion (also Neutrogena), and have had no breakouts so far! Extremely Gentle Cleanser

I was fortunate enough to have been selected by Chickadvisor to try this product for free. First of all, the bottle is massive! There's a lot of product in here! I was very impressed by that. When I first started using this product, I found that it seemed almost it identical to Phisoderm. The consistency and the way it cleanses is so similar to Phisoderm that I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference. I really like that it's fragrance free and that it doesn't lather. Because of that, I think it would be a really great cleanser in the winter because it feels like it doesn't strip your skin as much as other cleansers that are made for acne prone skin. I am currently dealing with postpartum skin which has become very sensitive and cannot tolerate any harsh products. The texture of this cleanser is very light weight and the application is also very smooth. When I gently applied this cleanser on my face, it gave me very soothing effect immediately. This new formula is strictly a cleanser and one that does clean well if you know how to use it. Many people are under the impression that a cleanser has to FOAM to work, this is not so. The sole surfactant in this cleanser is Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate derived from glycerin & Lauric Acid. Very mild, it is usually found in a lot of mild sensitive skin cleansers as it won't disrupt the lipid barrier as it cleanses. For those who need to wipe it off, you can do that with a soft, warm wet washcloth, tissues or cotton pad. This makes a great morning cleanser or cleanser to switch to in the winter months! The pearlescent, shampoo like liquid that pumps out of the bottle (love a pump! so easy to use) produces a very soft, light lather that cleans beautifully and doesn't dry out my skin. It is 100% SOAP-FREE (very important), rinses clean and leaves no residue. The scent is quite lemon-y/zesty/smells a little like old fashioned dish soap. The cleanser can remove makeup very well, all over the face and around the eyes. Be careful around the eyes as it has a tendency to sting (I think this is from the fragrance) so be sure eyes are closed firmly. You can use this with your fingertips, a washcloth or cleansing sponge (Cellulose). It's super-affordable, available almost anywhere and budget friendly and absolutely economical. No need to spend a fortune to wash your face every night. Great for the shower or the basin. The blue bottle has undergone a packaging update in the last year or two.

I was using the typical “teenager” brands prior to this and when living with a couple friends just out of high school, I ran out of my usual face wash. One of my friends had this and let me use it and I have been hooked since. I have combination skin, leaning more towards oily. In winter, things get crazy dry including my skin. The rest of my body is itchy if I don’t use lotion but if I don’t put lotion on my face one day, it still feels and looks just fine. This face wash is perfection. I noticed there was a slight formula/fragrance change a couple years ago and got nervous it wouldn’t work well for me anymore but thankfully it is.
