I received this free from Influenster and Neutrogena in exchange for my honest review . Although I don't normally think a separate eye cream is necessary, the texture and hydration of the Hydro Boost+ Caffeine Gel Eye Cream is great! It's fragrance and alcohol free, so doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or eyes (and I wear contacts). It also has a light gel cream texture that sinks in to a beautiful hydrating texture that works amazingly under makeup and I've even noticed my under eye concealer creasing slightly less! Being a gel means it won't be too heavy and form milia, and I haven't noticed a reduction in fine lines, but the hyaluronic acid keeps skin hydrated. Its peptides are supposed to prevent aging. Lifestyle factors tend to make the biggest difference for most people anyways. There's actually no percentage provided for any of these actives, and the jar packaging doesn't protect them from degrading from light, air, and bacteria. This formula would actually work for the entire face, as the benefits and omission of fragrance and alcohol are great for skin everywhere, not just the eyes. As long as you don't have extremely dry skin elsewhere that needs a thicker moisturizer, there's no reason for this to be specifically targeted to the eye area. Unfortunately the jar is tiny, with only half an ounce for $20. Other drugstore formulas I've tried with these actives (for face or eyes) are about half this price and include a potentially higher percentage. I did enjoy using this eye cream but it wasn’t life changing. It felt lightweight, wasn’t greasy, absorbed well, and I definitely felt like my eyes were well hydrated. But I personally did not notice any reduction in dark circles or puffiness, as promised/advertised. Also, I wasn’t a huge fan of the fact that this product contains dimethicone - a silicone which is a potentially irritating ingredient. There’s so much back and forth about the use of this ingredient and whether or not it’s ok to use. Dimethicone is a synthetic silicone, which some say is not only bad for your skin, but also the environment. I didn't think I would like this eye cream. Most "skincare influencers" say that they really aren't different than using a thick, moisturizing face cream around the eye. Because it is fragrance free, my sensitive skin is not irritated at all. The instructions also suggest using a very small amount, which I took very seriously at the beginning. Now, getting to massage a small pea-sized dollop into the under eye, corner, brow bone, and crow's feet area of each eye is a much welcomed part of my nighttime ritual. I was given this eye cream to sample complimentary from influenster but all opinions are my own. I used this for almost a month at least once a day. This eye cream is very hydrating and feels refreshing when you apply it. I have somewhat sensitive eyes and it did not irritate them. It’s not heavily scented either which is great. I like that it’s free from some not great ingredients too. I don’t have puffiness so not sure how it works for that. However, I do have dark circles and fine lines. I haven’t noticed a huge change in either but maybe it wasn’t a long enough time to notice. I did notice that makeup applies really nicely under my eyes now though since they’re hydrated.

I have dark circles (like raccoon) and my eyes always look puffy so Neutrogena Hydro Boost + Caffeine Fragrance Free Eye Gel Cream was welcome. I really liked that it has caffeine because it is an effective ingredient. It has a very light texture and is not greasy at all, which in my case is perfect because my skin is oily. It absorbs quickly, it feels more like a serum than a cream and I love it. It is fragrance free which is great if you are sensitive to fragrances. The best eye cream ever. I have tried so many different ones and none left my skin so hydrated. It also reduced the look of dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. I’m a firm believer if I use this religiously I will soon see a reduction in fine lines that’s how great this is.Super Moisturizing eye cream and love that it contains hyaluronic acid and caffeine! That makes me happy because caffeine is a natural antioxidant and great for skin defense.I got sold on the fact alone that it is fragrance and paraben free. Must try ladies!It has brightened the entire area under my eye I’m so happy with this product.

My regular eye care regimen consists of more of a serum-like product, whereas this was a gel cream and I prefer this much more! The serum feels heavier on your skin, but Neutrogena's eye gel cream is very airy, light and moisturizing where I could literally feel my skin absorb the solution soon after its application. I only needed a small amount, about a small drop on the tip of my fingers, which went a long way.
