I absolutely love the Neutrogena Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer! This moisturizer is perfect for anyone who needs extra hydration, as it's formulated with hyaluronic acid, which is a powerful ingredient that helps to lock in moisture. The moisturizer is lightweight and absorbs quickly, so it won't leave your skin feeling greasy or heavy. I love how it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, and it's perfect for wearing under makeup. If you're looking for a great moisturizer that will keep your skin hydrated and healthy-looking, I highly recommend giving the Neutrogena Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer a try!

I am very happy with the cream. It is a light and non-greasy gel that moisturizes and soothes my dry skin all day long. The cream also protects my skin from the sun rays, without leaving any white marks or stickiness. The cream does not contain any fragrances and does not cause pimples. The cream does not have any scent, as it is fragrance-free. Some people may prefer this, as it does not interfere with their perfume or other products. Others may like a subtle scent in their moisturizer, but they can always add a drop of essential oil if they want. My skin looks radiant and healthy after using this cream. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a moisturizing and protective face cream.

Moisturizes without adding oily shine.

I have oily combo, acne prone skin. I was apprehensive to try since I dislike the water gel formula.I have been using this sunscreen for almost 2 month. I have repurchased and plan to continue to do so. One pump covers my whole face, but sometimes use two pumps and it all absorbs into my skin. It does not look or feel greasy. Has not broken me out, pairs well with my skincare routine. I put after my VitC serum every morning. It has stung my eyes before, but resolved that by now massaging the sunscreen all over my face with the exception of my eye area first, than finish up with the little left over smoothing over my eyelids and under eyes. Even with the two pumps, this works. Also I can reply this sunscreen every two hours without it forming a nasty build up. ... MoreI have oily combo, acne prone skin. This moisturizer with SPF could be a great all-in-one option for some people. The moisturizer dispenses as a thin cream (consistency feels more similar to sunscreen than moisturizer) and blends into skin quickly. I have oily-combo skin and this finished matte for me within just a couple of minutes. The bottle says it sits great under makeup, which I never tried, but would believe. It's unscented and if anything has a faint sunscreen smell that doesn't last long at all. For anyone familiar with Neutrogena's Hydro Boost line of moisturizers, this feels thinner and less intensively moisturizing. Because of this, I tried using it on top of my normal gel moisturizer and found that it pilled pretty badly. In warmer months, I think this could be a very suitable all-in-one ... MoreThis moisturizer with SPF could be a great all-in-one option for some people. Must have!

This is one of the best sunscreens I've ever used. It was so hydrating, there was zero white cast whatsoever, the sunscreen smell went away super fast, the texture was amazing, it didn't make my skin greasy (my skin actually feels amazing hours after using it). I like that it has a pump instead of a tube with no "portion" control lol. I have oily combination/dehydrated skin. It is pricey but compared to supergoop (my other fave sunscreen) it's cheaper. My philosophy is if you're going to use one expensive thing of skincare, make it your sunscreen! And at least coupons work on this brand!

Not unless you have eyeballs of steel

I purchased this because my usual jar of the same line of product was sold out and thought it would be nice with summer coming to have extra spf. I gave it three tries on different days to see if it was a fluke…it was not. Have you ever reapplied sunscreen spray on your children and had the wind shift? That’s what this feels like. I avoided my eyes like any sane person would do, not applying the moisturizer to the bags under them or below the eyebrows but my eyes still caught fire and watered all day. I don’t have sensitive eyes or skin, though with this brand I tend to buy the sensitive formula because of reviews saying the regular formula is extremely strong smelling. Yet I still wanted to scoop my eyeballs out with a melon baller for some relief.

I started using the Neutrogena FMT Hydro Boost Blue Opal with the idea in mind that this product was supposed to be a sort of 3-in-1 daytime skincare product. It's got all the items I would use normally in the morning (moisturizer, Hyaluronic Acid, and SPF) in 1 convenient bottle. But I was left feeling underwhelmed. As a moisturizer, it is lacking. My dry skin didn't feel quenched instead I feel like the SPF 50 overpowered the hydrating effects. Don't get me wrong, I love the SPF level and seriously believe everyone should wear it but in combination, it isn't working. The packaging says fragrance-free, which is true. I do like the SPF level & how lightweight it feels. There's no greasy residue or white cast. But as a stand-alone product, my skin would not be getting the hydration it so desperately needs.

Only So-So

I live for anything hydro product but Neutrogena but this falls flat. A little goes a long way and if you're using this for SPF mainly, this is probably not for you. It is a moisturizer SPF combo so not sure if you need more than a quarter teaspoon but thats the assumption I always work under with these products. The product doesn't dry down with a white cast which is good but it definitely has a powdery film feel. I want to look like a glowing, glazed donut so this isn't for my combo skin. This is a heavy hyaluronic acid product so it might apply better to damp skin but, again, not generally something you do with SPF. Will be returning for the gel version of this product.

Seamless Addition to my Skincare Makeup Routine
10 January 2022

I personally have combo skin, and hormonal acne. I bought this since I love the Neutrogena HydroBoost moisturizer (both regular and night time one!) to add in some SPF into my routine. It does smell slightly like sunscreen, and it goes on white like sunscreen. BUT, I am able to use it with and without makeup, which is awesome. Pros: It doesn't leave the typical sunscreen residue on your face. After application, it just feels like how your serums would. When it dries, it absorbs really well and you wouldn't even realize it was sunscreen / moisturizer. Also, I noticed it doesn't burn my eyes like typical sunscreen does. Cons: Can't say too much here, since I've only been using it for about a month, and this is the first time I've had SPF implemented into my skin care ... MoreI personally have combo skin, and hormonal acne. Takeaways: Definitely worth the purchase if you're looking for SPF. It's easy to add into your existing routine, and not so costly that you will regret purchasing it if it doesn't end up working. As long as you don't experience any adverse side effects, and you don't notice much of a difference, it still does have SPF so its something you can pack on vacation for a supplemental facial/neck/chest sunscreen.

Watered-down sunscreen, poor substitute for Daily Defense
3 August 2023

When I recently saw that Neutrogena had discontinued Daily Defense SPF moisturizer (why?!?!), which I'd happily used for years, I looked for the next closest product and this was it. After using for a month now, I can say it's a horrible substitute. I don't feel like I bought a moisturizer at all, instead this stuff feels (and smells!!!!) like using a watered-down sunscreen. I've given it a chance to see if it grew on me, but every time I put this on I feel like I'm armoring up for a summer day outside rather than moisturizing my skin. If that's what I wanted, I would buy a facial sunscreen (for less money). I can't get past the feel and the smell, so now looking elsewhere for a worthy successor to Daily Defense.
