I'm 22 and have dealt with acne since I was 13. I have yet to find the cure for my acne BUT what has helped a lottt is this benzoyl treatment and having a diet low in carbs/sugar (plus drinking 2-3 liters a day)! This will make your skin dry/flaky but honestly, it's a good thing because not only has it helped my acne go away faster it's helped my scars go away too because my skin is dry and flaky. Therefore the old skin is coming off, slowly but surely. My skin broke out BAD It was so hard for me to leave the house but after using this gel and eating low carb/sugar drinking lots of water my skin is looking SO much better 1-2 weeks later, I can actually go to the store without any makeup on! Only gave four stars because it's not a complete cure for acne (duh) but it ... MoreI'm 22 and have dealt with acne since I was 13. Only gave four stars because it's not a complete cure for acne (duh) but it definitely helps! Overall tips for clearing acne: -- Use this benzoyl treatment -- Put on before bed and in the morning. -- Works best on popped whiteheads. -- Eat low carb/sugar!! Halo top keto ice cream pops/pints are great for helping my sweet tooth. -- Drink 2-3 liters of water daily! -- Masks make acne worse so try out a copper fabric one but try to avoid wearing one if at all possible (unless you're around people all day). -- Don't touch your face or put anything on your face i.e. a blanket, your dirty shirt, hand, etc. -- I bought a few packs of Hanes men's white t-shirts and every night I place a CLEAN t-shirt on my pillow, which covers my pillow entirely, creating a clean soft surface for my face. -- I started taking DIM for my hormonal acne and it helped! If the suggested dose doesn't work try taking one more. I take 200mg in the morning and 100mg at night. It's also helped my stubborn weight come off! Of course, speak with your doctor before taking it. I like the natures way brand and the Smoky Mountain Naturals brand.

I went on a trip and left my retinol at home. Didn’t worry about it enough to by more, but I ended up with a pretty big breakout by the end of the trip. I have hormonal acne (mostly on my chin and jawline) that I can generally control well with cleanser, differin, serum, and moisturizer, but this was the worst breakout I had in a while and I had a big meeting as soon as I got back… yikes. Picked up a tube of this stuff and WOW it helped so much! I put it on after my retinol at night and after serum in the morning. Everything shrank and was way easier to cover with makeup. Definitely less redness too. Word to the wise: this has 10% benzoyl peroxide, which is a lot. I don’t have super sensitive skin, so I was fine to use it sparingly (this isn’t a product to lather on ... MoreI went on a trip and left my retinol at home. You might need to pause on one or two of your other products to make room for this one. This should prob be the only BP in your routine because it’s so much. Some people also just find this much benzoyl peroxide irritating, even without combining other products. Don’t hurt your skin friends! Test it first one time in one day to see how your skin takes it (especially if you’ve never used a product like this before). It can also be a little drying, so DEFINITELY use moisturizer and suncreen after you apply. Makeup goes overtop of that perfectly :) best of luck!

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE this photo. I have been using it since I was in 9th grade and I'm a sophomore in college now. It is the only thing that I can ALWAYS rely on (whether I'm on my period, eating too much salt and dairy, sweating alot, or wearing masks that irritate my skin) to clear up my acne. It doesn't keep acne from EVER popping up on my face, but it SUBSTANTIALLY improved it. Like fr. I used to not be able to touch a spot on my face without feeling a bump, but when I'm using this twice a day I have to search for a bump lol. I would recommend getting an oil or something to help wit the scarring, but hopefully you can catch the pimples with this early on before they have a chance to grow (therein reducing the size / severity of anything left behind). I also would encourage you to be careful because this DOES bleach towels and clothes (especially t shirts) and sheets. Use sheets, towels, and clothes you don't care about until you reduce your acne enough that you don't need to use as much. This product also is very drying so if you have combo skin/dry skin and hyperpigmentation around your mouth I would attempt to use as little as possible (just enough to cover the size of the pimple and nothing more) or wash it off after a few hours and put on some moisturizer to help reduce dryness and hyperpigmentation issues.Again, I loveeeeeeee this product. Saved my self confidence in highschool. And is still helping me in college. <3

I've used similar products with the same concentration as this product so I knew somewhat what to expect but the results and gentleness has been better with this one so far.I experienced no redness, reaction or irritation. I made sure to use no other acne treatment the day I used it. I also had a random break out before using which made me feel like it was a good time to try. I had a lot of tiny whiteheads in patches all of over my face beforehand as well as a couple of the occasional cystic and bigger whiteheads. I also have stubborn blackheads. So before bed, after washing my face I used a very thin layer of product.I was worried Id have redness the next morning but to my surprise my skin felt soft and the breakout redness and tiny pimples were gone. • Nice packaging, good quality.• Easy to apply.• The size is small but it will last you for a very long time as you only need to use a thin layer on the pimple.• There is no strong scent and it dries white and flakes off after a while (that’s when you should reapply for better results)•If you have sensitive skin please use with caution and patch test first to avoid irritation.• I apply a thin layer every 2 hours if the pimple is large.• be gentle when you apply it to avoid irritating the skin more.• The texture is thin but powerful.• Careful not to get it on your clothes as it has bleaching agents (same with facial hair)• I would not recommend this for anyone below the age of 16 without consulting a dermatologist first.• Benefits: This is not a magical ... It has no to mild scent of a topical agent product. I used this whenever i have a stubborn acne suddenly. But for me, it does not reduce the size of acne but it does reduce the redness. In packaging its says that in just 2 hours, but for me it takes 2-3 days to minimize the redness and size. Maybe case to case basis. Even on small acne it does not reduce the size after 2 hours considering it has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide a max strength. No irritation nor dryness for me upon using it. I make sure I moisturize well after. ✨Hope this review helps!!
I have used this product for years. I have had breakouts since my teens and am now in my 50's and still get an occasional pimple or two every few weeks. I don't like using a lot of products on my skin and do not wear make-up. This Neutrogena spot gel works great for my needs. When I notice a pimple starting to come up I use this in that area and most times it will take care of it before it has a chance to be noticeable. Other times when I get those annoying whiteheads that seem to pop out of nowhere overnight, I just treat it with this gel and in a day, maybe two, it's dried up and going away. I'm a big fan and I will continue to use this as long as they continue to make it.
I bought this hopeful that it would resolve some post-pregnancy hormonal acne around my upper lip, nose, and mouth. The acne I had was constant with no improvement with other spot treatments or regular skin care routine. I read the reviews knowing in advance that it might look worse before it got better, so I made sure to use it when I knew ahead of time I wouldn’t really have to be in public for a few days. Within 48 hours, it looked terrible. Within 72 hours, I stopped use and just let the dry spots heal, and they healed very quickly. Soon after that, the acne was GONE. And not only was it gone, it didn’t return for another 6-7 months! When it came back, I just did one application overnight and it went away.
