If you have extreme dandruff, and have tried everything, and nothing has helped, TRY THIS. I found this product just simply doing research. I've used it about 6 times now (a little goes a long way) and don't you know I have little to no dandruff!!! I was shocked!! I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, and every time I wash, I use this. (I also double cleanse my hair, this being my 1st step) then I use my regular shampoo. it takes a few uses to really get the dandruff if you have a bad flare up, but it works super well once it really kicks in. the ones with a white cap is good for every wash in my opinion, and the blue bottle for super bad flare ups. i used tgel all the time for a couple years and did notice my hair thinning over time. if your dandruff isn’t too bad, i would definitely find a different alternative(especially since this can be pricy and inconvenient). but it does a very good job at tackling the problem.

I don’t know enough I have psoriasis or S dermatitis but all I know is this stuff works! I also had smelly hair syndrome for a while but once I started using this it worked! Let me tell you my scalp used to be itchy, smelly and grossly flaky after one day of washing. This product has allowed me to feel relief for atleast a week. When I first used it my scalp was so inflamed it felt like things were crawling on my head and I couldn’t take it! Idk why it wasn’t the product it was how irritated my scalp was!! But I’m all good now thanks to nutrogena!

Now it can dry my hair out really bad if I have to use it frequently certain weeks so I have to combat that with alternating the T-Gel extra strength with a moisturizing Tea Tree shampoo afterwards to get some manageability back. Overall I do not foresee my shower not having a bottle at all times lol.

This is an old school dandruff shampoo. Started using it in high school and I buy it every so often when the choices are limited. It has a pungent smell to it due to the tar, not unpleasant in my opinion, just noticeable. This formula has never been very effective for my particular psoriatic scalp issue. Very little improvement. Nizoral and nioxin for dandruff however, worked wonders for me so I very rarely turn to this particular product anymore.

I liked the original formula so much that I bought the extra strength. I didn’t notice a difference in how they performed though. Lathers really well so a little goes a long way. Was easy to rinse out and it actually does work for clearing my scalp of buildup and flakiness. I use this once a month as a clarifying shampoo. It’s not drying, my hair comes out soft and shiny. This will be a long term staple in my bathroom.

Advice: Keep it on for 10 minutes before rinsing

This is the only thing that helped me with psoriasis. I've tried numerous creams, corticosteroids etc. and nothing helped. My doctor advised Roaccutane as a last resort which was something I wanted to avoid as much as I could so I got this shampoo. Important advice: Keep it at least 10 minutes in your scalp. That's when I started to see improvements. It takes time to see skin clearing up but be persistent.

So good but smells bad

This is great for my dandruff. It clears it and makes my hair shiny. BUT the smell is not good! But to be honest you can't really smell it once your hair is dry and you've sprayed a little perfume all over! It's worth the sacrifice in my opinion. I do rate Vichy Dercos antidandruff shampoo over this purely based on smell. Otherwise, they're both great!

Tgel shampoo for a change?

I’ve had psoriasis since I was 7 (I’m now 70) and it has varied in intensity over the years. For the last couple of years the psoriasis on my scalp has been horrendous - I’ve been scratching my scalp like there’s no tomorrow and nothing seemed to help. As well as a prescribed steroid scalp lotion I was using Alphosyll shampoo but I found that shampoo just made my scalp feel really dry and tight. I tried Thelma for a bit of a change and found it worked really well to reduce the itching and my scalp didn’t feel as tight. Luckily I like the smell of coal tar but it’s not overpowering. If you have scalp psoriasis it might be worth trying it.

Wow!! I can't believe it...

This product works! It really works. I have extremely thick hair and my scalps suffers with not getting enough "air" and I struggle getting shampoo out fully, which causes an imbalance. I've tried a million different things but nothing that has fully worked, until now. I was a bit sceptic about it, but thought I'd give it a go. Nothing to loose right? And my gosh does it work, my scalp has never felt so clean and fresh. My hair feels so clean and like "real" hair with no softening effects etc. Just nice and bouncy hair. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the smell, like everyone mentions. It is a very tary smell and it does sit in your hair after use for a day.
