New Balance

Excellent trainer shoe.I have two pairs of extra wide (4E) using one pair for tennis and the other padel.I wear double sock with both, which provides a comfortable fit, and allowing for more protection. Grip is good on shale, hard court, and carpet.A good quality shoe. So glad they come in extra wide size.

A positive shopping experience.

The buying experience was very positive. Rebel matched the price of a competitor and promptly arranged a pickup from one of their stores with stock in my size. The shoes are good, too, now they have gone back to making them out of leather instead of synthetic material. The quality of the leather, though, is not quite up to the previous standard I remember. It feels a little like synthetic but still alright.

Classic Shoes for every day wear

I have been buying these New Balance 624's for years and years. It was only this purchase that I realised the V Number in the name was a version number. They don't change that much from 1 version to the next.I like these shoes because they are hard wearing and come in multiple width sizes - regular to 4EE I believe so if you have feet like Donald Duck these might be the ones for you. They are comfortable and affordable.Tip - if they get dirty you can get them back to brilliant white with a micro eraser from your local grocery store.

Footwear that gives amazing support

I have collapsed arches in both feet and have Orthortic Arch Support inserts with the shoes. I have been wearing the New Balance 624 shoes for around 15 years now and have found them to be the best support and most comfortable shoes for every day wearing. I use the black version of the shoes so that they can be taken as a normal shoe for social activities. I do a 5km walk every day and I find the support given by the shoes helps my feet manage the exercise as I am now suffering from osteoarthritis in both feet.

Fussy Feet Not Happy

Fussy feet not happy having to purchase online just to try on before you buy.The online experience, purchase and return, deserves five stars; a seamless and easy process.However the shoes had a problem and the store that I returned it too was not interested with the problem; he just shrugged it off. The left shoe had some kind of small step across the sole which made it very uncomfortable to stand or walk on, only the left and not the right. Also the black does not feel like the white model (which I already own) a stiffer material or something (New Balance shoes are supposed to be worn straight out of the box, no need for wearing in) The other problem is the width sizing; sure it is labelled 6E but it only feels like a 4E. Great for power walking.

I walk a brisk 10 kilometres in 1.5 hrs as regular exercise. I use to wear mesh runners and was disappointed when these simply did not last the distance. I needed a shoe that was made of a sturdier upper. I bought these but was concerned they they may be too stiff, inflexible and uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised however! They were light, comfortable and sturdie. If you need a comftable sturdie walking shoe, this is the one.

Great for walking or work.

I buy NB shoes because I have a small but wide foot and NB shoes cater for that. I like the fact that NB walking shoes are made from leather is real and not composite and that makes them extremely durable. I have a pair that I use for work as a driver/storeman and, even though the soles have worn somewhat, the uppers are completely in tact. I use the 624 V5 2E's for long walks and goal umpiring and they suit both purposes extreme well. Lastly, you can genuinely waterproof them.

I love these shoes- this is my second pair of similar type/style from New Balance. They are long lasting- over 5 years of good leisure and work use. Next, the size is consistent, the old shoes which fit like a glove and the new ones are just as comfortable- from first fitting. Style- unobtrusive and understated but cool and with good styling. Comfort is great- nice fit, (research the correct size and width- maybe Rebel can make this easier for new purchasers?) and comfort, especially on the heel. Value is great- I got them on a special which just made them more exceptional to me, but price wise they are the same as I paid for the first pair 5 years ago which is great- and before the discount! My favourite sneaker I have worn for many years.

I have four pairs of 624 V5 White sneakers, one pair for best, one pair for general wear, one pair for around the house and one pair for gardening and work around the house. As they become worn I buy a new pair for best and demote each of the other pairs and throw the oldest away. I have one pair of black shoes for weddings and funerals. I need no other shoes. I don't need to try them on in the shop, I know my size and they are always a perfect fit, I would recommend them!

On to the 2nd pair after 3500 km of use.

I walked over 3500 km in these shoes. Not at once, but on a daily basis over 18 months.The only issue is that on the stitching passes over my little toes, and had developed painful corn's to form. This area of the stitching is very stiff and does not give (stretch).Eventually, my toes split the vinyl, from the moving pressure point. Band aids on the toes was a blessing.Otherwise, my second pair (yes, they are wearing well at 1,000km) and is a 2E not the 4E of the original purchase, are a lot better and the corns have gone.Too loose a fit with 4E size on the 3,000km pair was a lesson learned as the feet squirm if too broad, especially as do a lot of walking on road chambers.I do find that for me, the shoes are too long, and rub on the heels.Those blessed with ... MoreI walked over 3500 km in these shoes.
