Wanted these shoes once I saw them and forgot the release date, so I had to get them resale. Shoes are authentic and fit true to size which I really appreciate since these are my first pair of 990v. Very comfortable shoe.

Shoes look great, but they have a strange fit. Toe area is more narrow than other NB, so I would recommend 1/2 size larger. Be careful because they won't exchange.

Great looking retro lifestyle shoes. Well made, comfortable, and attractive. I wear these strictly for casual wear and really enjoy them. My running days are long past but it is enjoyable to put the 990v1's on and remember when they were my go to running shoes. I wear 13 2E's or 14 D's in 990v3, v4, and v5's. Size 14 D in the retro v1's fit fine. For me, well worth the price.

I love love love NB styles made in the US. This is my 4th pair of US made styles, and the quality and fit are perfect. I am in the manufacturing and design business and it is my dream to design for American manufacturers. Please do more.
Absolutely love 990 version one as it is my favorite silhouette. I'm a little biased, but nothing is better than a clean 991V1. This, in my opinion, is the most underrated colorway in the Teddy Santis, season two collection. They look best in my opinion with the black laces, but the cream laces are always a win as well. Don't sleep on these!
The shoes showed up and didn't look the same as the online image. Called customer service and NB was unwilling to do an exchange?!?! So disappointed as a previously loyal customer. Trying ONCLOUD
These were my first purchase of this style of shoe. I absolutely love them! The color is different, and looks like they'll go with anything. The quality is excellent. They are also extremely comfortable, and are so cushy! I'm obsessed with New Balance's Made in USA line...I think I have 7 pairs now. Keep these awesome styles that are made at home coming!
Really perfect for streetwear. Get tons of comments on them, and I don't think people are lying to me. You can normally tell when someone is lying to you, ya know? And it doesn't really seem like they are lying to me. Anyway, are they worth what I paid for them? Not sure, but they are non-returnable, so I love them unconditionally.
I just tried this new style after wearing the standard model grey or black 990 for over ten years. The new ones are not the same quality that I purchased in the past.I learned stick with what you know.
Such a versatile shoe, can be dressed up or down and being a relatively neutral color way can be combined with almost anything. It's a retro runner but still comfy for everyday casual use. I also really like the long haired suede.
