Very comfortable, a lot of cushion but not too much. They run a little longer than 990 v3,v4, and v5 but not a big issue. I would size down a half size if you have average width feet, if wider than average, true to size. Or if wider than average, drop a half size down to get the perfect length , and still have plenty of width. Awesome shoe worth the money. I have classic grey and just ordered triple black. One of the best NB models.

I’ve been wearing these shoes for a good 10+ years. I am on my feet all day at work and the 990s always come through. I’ve been calling and writing new balance asking when is the solid black going to be available…. I do wish it would be a little less flashy in the future. The 990 V3 did not really broadcast what it was and I liked that and now I feel like the the v4 v5 and now v6 logos are becoming a little “child like” for lack of a better term.

Tried so hard with these + still love them, but:Sizing is not norm as many have indicated (~.5" longer than other NBs in the same size) - The bulk of this length is in a narrow toe box too, so it's not even useable for a proper foot press through. I still had to stick with my usual Made in USA 9.5 size, normal width, but tried sizing down, wide width, multiple pairs...nothing really worked out so I was back to the original size for the most comfort in the toe box.QC is also okay at best - e.g. glue marks on some pairs I tried, the final pair I stuck with has asymmetrical reflective accents on the big toes - Not super noticeable, but the quality should be tip top for these MIUSA shoes.Overall, they're comfy, but sizing and quality leave some to be desired.

The 990 shoes have been great. I have been buying these shoes for decades. I recently order the all black 990v6. What i got was a 990BB6. This pair doesn't have any reflective trim on it. They seem to have cheapend the shoe. I have worn them yet. I'm thinking of sending them back. All of my many pairs of these don't look like these. Even the sole is different. Is it crap? Very disappointed.

I first purchased 990v6 3 years ago. They evolved into my favorite everyday go-to shoe. Love the neutral support. I feel they have been instrumental supporting my recover from plantar fasciitis. The new version became available at the perfect time. My first pair is now my “scrappy” pair for yardwork - still comfy & supportive. The current version is simply cush. Very sleek. High comfort level. Great tongue & laces. Really feel cuddly as far as shoes go. I’m a lifer!
I love the 990v6 shoes. I have been wearing the 990 series for many years and usually upgrade when the new version is available. I was not a fan of the bright colors and had been hoping for a solid black shoe. Now that it is finally available I will be a lifelong fan. The most comfortable shoes I have ever worn are now available in my favorite color.
Loving this triple black 990v6. This is my fourth pair of V6s and the black colorways are just special for this 990 version. I think aomething about the V6 just lends itself well to darker tones. The comfort and quality is A1 as it always is with all MiUSA models. The V6 specifically feels fantastic on foot. These aren’t my first V6s and they definitely won’t be my last either.
I’m confused. These 990 V6’s in Triple black are not nearly as cushioned as the 990s (also V6) in grey that these are replacing. I’ve been buying 990s since the early 90s. I have wide feet and because of back issues need max cushion and support. 990s were always a perfect solution until now. I must have bought > 25 pairs over the years, but these are not cushioned enough. The soles are also stiffer giving the shoes a hiking boot feel. Not sure what changed, but I’m not a fan.

I had 1-1 1/4” from the end of the sneaker to my toe. The width was also—surprisingly—too much.When I contacted Holabird Sports (first retailer) I wasn’t given too much info other than to try the next size down. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any, so I ordered direct from NB.The second pair I ordered was a US13 EE. This pair left me with about a thumb’s width of space between the end of the sneaker and my toe. Length fit well. The toe box was very tight. My toes felt like they were being ...
