I couldn't believe these were even more comfortable than my 993's. I usually order my shoes in a wide, but the toebox is so roomy the standard width was perfect. These will
definitely be my new dedicated walking shoes. The red and blue colorway also look really good with the 992's design.

I have had these sneakers for several month now. I use them for walking only. The sole is made out of a firm rubber without the springy feeling of some other cheap shoes,
just ""hugging"" my feet with an excellent fit. Made in USA is a BIG plus for me!!!

Great Sneaker
29 July 2021
It's really comfortable I have different pairs of these shoes and I only have them in size 9. I prefer to go a size and half down. I am happy to get size 8 1/2 which I can feel more comfortable in. Great colorway and I am happy to get it since certain websites are selling it for a higher price. New Balance website came in clutch for these... Show more

Great looking shoes. Why do you not build more shoes in USA? Stop supporting CHINA and other countries like Vietnam. Also why are you not making GOLF SHOES in USA. Maybe you do not care about our country or the people. At least you make some shoes in USA.... Show more

Outstanding

Comfort. Quality. Supports U.S. jobs. Unlike almost every other shoe company. Well worth the price. Runs true. The attention to detail is impeccable. Great materials. Never paying for overhyped sneakers from other companies again. No other U.S. shoe company even comes close.... Show more

Still going strong after three months regular wear.
26 August 2022
Following some bad luck with a few pairs of New Balance imports, I was ready to get back into a pair of 990 series again. Something I never should have veered from in the first place. Ever reliable, durable and long-lasting.... Show more

Troubled craftsmanship
23 February 2022
I bought one of these and one pair of 991s. What a terrible experience. The 992 condition was horrible, glue all over suede and new balance logo. The 991s were sent with no paper or protection in a box that was too big any they just got beat up and destroyed during shipment. Flaws on both shoes around soles, see pictures.... Show more

Way too small in standard width
17 August 2021
I've had this trouble in the past with New Balance standard width shoes being way too snug. Have even returned a pair and reordered the same set that fit that much better. I've been wearing New Balance Made in the USA for over 25 years now and not until the last 6 to 8 years have I run into the problem with their shoes being overly tight. The toe box on this pair was in fact so tight that it was causing pain in the top of my foot. I'll be honest I wear Thorlo socks with 99% of my shoes, but even with an ultra thin running sock this was a really snug fit. I've had the best luck with 993's and anything over 1000 in a series. As a guy who enjoys darker tones I really wish they'd drop more solid colored USA made shoes in wide. Not sure who said this new batch of baby ... MoreI've had this trouble in the past with New Balance standard width shoes being way too snug. Or the latest all bright blue, were what's going to be "hot" this season. I'm not sure where they're doing their market research but it's one of the reasons I buy these less frequently every year.I love the color and look. I really wish they'd do better with sizing. I was so excited and hopeful these would slide on and be ready for action like so many of my other shoes from New Balance have.... Show more
