30k steps and no sore or achy feet

I usually go for classic 574s but wanted a more modern look this time. These look great and feel even better. The true test came when I visited Boston for the weekend and
walked over 30,000 steps in one day with 25lbs. of camera equipment strapped to my back (I'm a photographer). By the end of the day, my feet and legs were a little tired
from walking, which is to be expected, but they were not sore or aching like I was expecting them to be after walking 30k steps. I was actually quite pleasantly surprised. So
much so that I convinced my girlfriend to look into buying some for her so the next day we took a walk to the New Balance store in Boston. I'd say my only gripe i... Show more

Beautifully Made Shoe...for a Standard Width Foot

I really wanted to keep these beautiful shoes and I almost did. The variation of materials with the clean seams, the (camel brown/light blue/dark red) color-way, and the price
made it very difficult for me to put them back in the box. Even the details of the show laces were cute! But being 5'3" with a 7M/8.5W regular-wide foot, the narrow toe box on
this 7M low-profile shoe, were the ultimate deciding factors to return them. (Bummed b/c I'm getting sick & tired of my size and width being sold out, so I was really hoping to
comfortably wear a style that wasn't coveted by the entire universe.)

Love the shoes and the color schemes. Lots of options and super trendyI’m typically a size 9, but in these new balances, the sizing and cut of the shoe either runs too large or
two small. 9 is too big for me, and 8.5 is too snug. If they made an 8.8 it would be better lol.I never had these issues in Sauconys for example, but with New Balances I’ve seen
this before. But these shoes do look awesome in a pair of jeans :)

Great shoe, fit, service.
30 September 2022
I've only had these for a couple of days. Very comfortable. Fit exactly as expected. Look is fashionable. Got these for my everyday shoes and I do believe they will be just fine. I need also mention that the company worked out a problem with me in a truly active customer service manner. (I had given them the wrong address, so complications included refund upon the item's being sent back, a new order for the same item and then a credit to maintain the original (sale) pricing. Great product, great service.... Show more

Look good, feel good
9 May 2022
Comfortable for walking/daily use. Look great too. I got a few compliments the first day I wore them.Runs a little small. I recommend half or full size bigger than Nike or Adidas. Also, about an inch of stitching on the inside of the left shoe was hanging off when they came in. I'll probably just take it to a shoe repair or sew shop to avoid waiting a week or two it would take to return them.I will probably buy another pair (different color combo) in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable casual shoe... Nice Retro Design
18 April 2022
This sneaker fits true to size and for a New Balance product the tongue is great it actually stays in place but that’s probably a function of the the laces more than anything. Speaking of the laces, these have a great look and they have a wet noodle quality about them, flimsy feeling, but they stay tied and hold the tongue in place. A great accomplishment for New Balance. The shoes have a chill old school vibe to them in appearance and design detail. These are not foamy plush running shoes. I feel the ground under my feet in these shoes. I use these for walking only. The ankle collar and heal cup work well for my narrow feet. The tread design is simple, no nonsense. I bought these because of the color scheme and my daughter says they look steezy. Cool.... Obsessed with these
23 March 2022
I bought these a couple days ago because I found a pair in the clearance section of DSW and I badly needed new shoes. I promptly wore them all day two days in a row, on days where I was walking all day. I am prone to blisters on my feet from new shoes, and my feet also get sore easily. These shoes were honestly a DREAM. They are so comfortable, true to size, and I had no issues at all wearing them straight out of the box all day. Plus I love how they look!... Show more

Received mangled box "as is/was" previous returner
13 June 2022
I'll avoid shipping with DSW going forward. The box was mangled. I assumed something went awry in transit until I opened the box. The shaping innards were no longer in the shoes and one of the shoes was untied and stretched out. The previous recipient must have shoved everything back into the box they so eagerly tore apart upon arrival. This wouldn't have been as big a deal if these weren't a father's day gift. I'm disappointed in DSW not checking the previously returned item before shipping this to me. The mangled box should have been a clear red flag that trouble loomed within the box.... Show more

Retro and Comfy!
17 March 2022
I love a retro sneaker. I pine for the style of the late 90s/early 2000s when all I owned were retro sneaks (some with platforms, oh how I long for them). These fit the bill. I got them in the mustard color in a size 8 (I wear a women's size 9.5) and the fit was perfect. I have a wide-ish foot; I don't have to wear a wide width, but I think because these are marketed as "men's" shoes they are a bit wider, which is nice. Lots of toe room. They're also incredibly comfortable and lightweight. I swear, I walked out of my apartment and within a few minutes two people had commented on how awesome they were. I walked a great deal in them one day and I had no issues with blisters, rubbing, or tightness. Love this shoe.... Show more

Top notch 997 NB
15 July 2023
Blue suede, grey accents off white midsole with gum contrast bottoms??? True to size and highly recommended on comfort alone. The quality and overall comfort increases the style value imo. I also am a huge nike and air jordan consumer and this NB NB 997 is my favorite shoe to date. Got them on sale in store and almost passed them up due to having a huge shoe collection. I was so happy unboxing them at home and had a grateful realization on not regretting anything about purchasing another pair of shoes.... Show more
