Great shoes! These lightweight sneakers fit my 2.5 year old well with room to spare. I love that the velcro closure is so wide. I'm able to slip my son's feet into these with very little effort compared to his previous shoes (those were not NB). The old ones had only a small closure strap and were a super pain to try to squeeze his feet into. My son is also very familiar with the concept of comfort, and when I ask him if his feet are comfortable he says they are.

This pair size 7 was for my almost 3 year old boy. I ordered extra wide because usually their feet need more space. However, he got a blister on each foot, in the same spot each. We gave it a few days, there was no improvement. Ended buying a different model.

Every year the selection of toddler shoes w/ velcro closures seems to diminish and I don't understand why. I've been buying NB toddler shoes w/ velcro for the past 3 years: 2T, 3T, and 4T and this year's quality seems a little cheaper (ie thinner) than previous years. Color selection is also lacking.However, compared with the slip on type sneakers, I much prefer this as you can control the tightness, esp for sensitive little feet/ people.And compared to all the other leading sneaker manufactures, these shoes are still much better for my 4 yo. Seems like practical, well designed shoes have given way to trends/ styles. So I still prefer these NB and will cont to buy.
My grandson is comfortably bouncing around in his sneakers all day.He doesn’t want to take them off. His little toes are not squished. The sneaker is wide enough for his feet to feel comfortable from toes to heels.If your child has wide feet, this is the sneaker for them.
I absolutely love this sneaker. New balance are the only name brand sneaker I’ve been able to find for babies that runs extra wide! It fits like a glove! The shoe literally slides on my son’s feet! Other shoes like Jordan’s, Nikes & Reeboks have left marks on his feet because he’s so chunky, but I have literally ordered about 5 pairs of new balance extra wide!
Great fit. I appreciate the availability of wide sizes. After first wash (2 words: kinder boy) there is hardly any color fade (black). NB marketing: Please continue to roll out hook and loop models. As long as there is Kindergarten, there will be a huge demand for these. Dark colors are optimal because let's face it: kinder kids have the mentality that 'dirt don't hurt' (except the wallet).
I got these for my toddler in wide. She doesn’t necessarily have wide feet but little ones (adults too) need wide soled shoes for healthy foot development so I love that there’s an option to get wide or xwide. They’re very lightweight and easy to put on and take off.
Best new balance ever. It was a gift for my nephew. I wasn’t expecting to find this color, because I was looking for blue navy. I am glad that the person in store suggest me this one.
I have purchased multiple sizes as my toddler grows because they are very comfortable on her. These were one of her very first walking shoes and that first pair lasted her for a while until she outgrew them. They are lightweight and comfortable.
