I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I ordered these but decided to give them a try anyway. Once they arrived I was very pleased with how quality they felt. After wearing them (around the house) for a couple days; they have an extremely comfortable footbed, firm but soft enough to feel comfortable. they also fashion a fairly narrow toebox (so if your toes are close to being scrunched in your current shoes and those shoes have a 'wider' toe box, you may want to consider sizing up) One thing I must note is I have NOT tested the 'waterproof' qualities of the shoe but I am a firm believer in Goretex, so I have no worries there. However the shoes are extremely warm (albeit ""HOT"") at least in the spring/summer climate of NM; which ranges between 75-90°F daily. I was not able to wear them during this season but I imagine in the rain/light snow when fall/winter rolls around; they are going to work considerably well. CONS: (like other reviews have mentioned) the midsole/outsole combo are fairly stiff (in the sense of flexion when your foot bends as you walk) and will more than likely require a fair bit of break in AND also a side effect of that stiffness is; that it produced heel slippage unless I laced the shoes fairly snug around my foot. this very well might go away once the shoes have been broken in, as my pair are not broken in at all.

Great shoe completely water resistant narrow

It's a great outdoor shoe, very water resistant. Have stepped in mud puddles and no wet socks. Go a half size bigger if you have a wide foot they are narrow shoes.

So far waterproof, bit stiff, w/ loose heel...so I lace up!
7 March 2022

I wanted some waterproof sneaker so I could get a break from my boots in winter. So far, Ohio winter storms have not phased my socks and these do it while looking super stylish! The ankle is relatively low though, so if you step a certain way, you may kick snow into your ankles, which will wet your socks. The footbed is quite stiff compared to 990v5 or 992 (or even Ortholite 550). It's softening a bit more than straight out of the box, but it does feel chunky, heavy, and stiff. I'm guessing it'll take some time to break in. Also, I got my TTS sz13, and while I usually have my laces slightly loosened, I had to lace up every single hole all the way up my foot to keep these shoes to prevent heel slippage. Especially since I use these in the icy winter, I need them to ... MoreI wanted some waterproof sneaker so I could get a break from my boots in winter. Especially since I use these in the icy winter, I need them to be secure, so if you need security, lace up every hole to the top. You could size down if you don't mind less room in the toe, but I like how roomy the 57/40 is, so I would keep TTS.
