I'm a pretty heavy guy (~ 240lbs) and these are great at reducing impact. I can feel the difference between these and my last shoes in my knees and my back. After wearing them on a few runs I tried my old pair again just to compare. Definitely won't go back to my old ones again. When these are worn out I'll almost certainly get another pair of the same.

The upper fits great by hugging your feet. It wraps around the shape of your foot. I have a more narrow foot, and this works great. It would also work well for wider feet, but not very wide feet. The midsole is comfortable, with plenty of cushioning. It does not have a "squishy" feel but more of a traditional midsole feel. The denser foam is used for stability to prevent pronating and works well without being intrusive. I have over 400 miles on my first pair without any blisters or hot spots and now wearing my second pair.

Finally! A great pair of sneaks that I am using for multiple forms of exercise. They are so light weight but have great cushioning and good arches. The laces could be a bit longer. Overall, I'm very pleased.

As someone who needs a stability shoe, I am already a big fan of New Balance for their track record when it comes to running shoes. I love their wider toe box fitting so these were no exception. While they are with lots of cushioning, I still feel they are a bit responsive at each stride.
These are great shoes for the heavier runner who tends to overpronate. I originally tried the Fresh Foam 1080 V10, also great shoes, but less stable in the heel. The Vongo's are equally comfortable, but more stable in the heel. I'm not an avid runner, but right out of the box, I wore them on a five mile off trail jog and had no problems. I get the best results with insoles with arch and metatarsal support, so you might adjust the shoe size accordingly if that's the route you go.
I run about 20mi/wk. This is my third pair of Vongo V5. The first went almost 600 mi (because supply chain issues held up the second pair). I'm usually concerned about breakdown and wear at that distance. I retired the second pair much earlier (300 mi) because I started getting a touch of achilles tendonitis, so in treating that, I updated the shoe. Not sure if the shoe was contributing to the tendonitis, but it is on the mend now with active recovery and treatment and shorter runs with this V5.
New Balance seems to work well for me width, fit and cushioning. After 500 miles on last pair I could probably push more but longer means more chance of stress injury. So they become my walking shoes when they are retired from running.
Plenty of room in the forward cabin, the laces and toe box do not interfere with my bunion, so these sneakers are extremely comfortable. Plenty of stretch! The mens size is wide, consequently, it has become my only option. Foot bed is amply cushioned for 4-5 mile walks.
I think the Hoka is a much more comfortable shoe for me. So I ordered a new pair of Hokas. I'll have to find someone to give the New Balance shoes i purchased. They didn't have much cushion for my feet. The width of the shoe was good though. Plus it would not let me use my $15 reward on either pair. I was disappointed in that.
I haven't been a big fan of New Balance for a long while, opting for Hoka and Asics as part of my daily running rotation. Fresh Foam X has been convinced that these are the best shoes right now. I tried the 1080 and the Fresh Foam More, but the Vongo v5 is just the perfect balance for cushy comfort and stable sturdiness. I bought the white ones, and they are ultra white, like walking on clouds. I've owned Ultraboost, and these New Balances is miles ahead of Adidas.
