I bought these shoes for a trip to Disney. I figured it’s Florida and frequently there are short showers. I broke them in for a couple of days before heading down. Goal achieved! Walked through puddles and light rain in total comfort, with dry socks, and great traction. These will be my go to shoes for questionable weather days going forward.

Like other customers mentioned, it is too narrow in toebox. I used special tool to make toebox wider to avoid blisters and pain - maybe 2cm I made it wider (using special shoes stretcher + heatgun --- be very careful with heatgun because you can easily make hole if you use too much heat -- if you make hole, you can glue it with seat cover material and glue for shoes). Otherwise shoes are perfect, megagrip is working good on almost every terrain and the back of the shoe (heel part) is perfect - zero blisters and very pleasant and comfortable to wear. Make the next version really wider option in toebox (something like altra did).

I have worn New Balance for many years. One of the reasons is they accommodate wide feet. It seems harder to get 4E from New Balance now. I hope they make their shoes more available in 4E.

I used to run a lot, that's why I'm a long time user of NB.So, I stick with them for every day shoes.Love these for using on a boat, pretty waterproof. Also, around town.Have 3 bought pairs over last year. Finding more uses. Highly recommend.
I have been running on New Balance 996 model shoes for years. This year I decided to give the MTHiero V7 shoe a try. I absolutely love these shoes. Yes, they are expensive, however, everyday I wear them the value comes through. I've run on trails and concrete with these shoes. Took them to Scotland and Germany this year for my daily shoes. My foot width is a D. Typically the toe box is narrow. However, these shoes have been true to size.
These shoes are the best! Very comfortable, and they are waterproof! These are my second pair, and my 16 year son owns a pair as well. The traction is so great for hiking, and these shoes are, the best, for disc golf!!!
Very disappointing overall. Toe box too narrow, casuing blisters on outside of big toe on both feet. This is despite it being a 2E width which, on all other NB shoes, fits me perfectly. You can feel every rock through the sole, and shoes have poor traction on everything but dry trail.
Left shoe has 2 different materials that are separating, allowing water to enter to my sock. GORE-TEX responded to my questions saying it is not covered. Shoes only lasted 6 months worth of work, approx 480 usage hours.
The 2E wide fit is not very wide fitting. There is not sufficient room in the toe box and therefore unsuitable for genuinely wide feet (my foot is 106mm at its widest part). It would be great if New Balance could make a 4E in a Gore-tex trail show. (The 1080 v12 in size 4E was a great fit for wide feet).
Great shoes overall. Sizing is good however, overall it would be so much better if it is made like 990 series for wide feet. Top of the shoes are night high enough (for me), so in order to make it comfortable I had to almost not tie them.
