Good product, for me it was a bit too wide but very well made

NOT waterproof

It’s right there in the product description: “waterproof linings protect your feet from wind, rain, and water”. I’m sorry, no they don’t. These aren’t any more waterproof than my regular runners (NB Rebel v3). My first time out with them this morning in rain (on the lighter side of moderate, not anything crazy) and my feet have never been more wet. There were a few puddles maybe 1-2” deep, not bad, but isn’t the quick splash from a puddle exactly the kind of thing you’d expect these to protect against? Very disappointed.Oh, the grip is fine. Nothing amazing, but decent. The only thing that saved this shoe from a 1 star rating.

Very uncomfortable and painful to wear
21 July 2024

I bought these in the beginning of the month for hiking, but the shoes are designed poorly. Just to clarify - I got the correct size and have other new balance shoes in that size. This pair has an incredibly tough front with the ‘toe protect’ - the inside of the shoes in the front is hard as plastic. With the slope of the shoe, your toes are basically pushing right into that during each step, causing pain. They are impossible to walk in.
