The design of this shoe is functional and fashionable but could be improved in some areas. First off, sizing is true to size for slim feet. If you have very wide feet, maybe go up
half a size from your usual size. The weight of the shoe is not heavy at all and don't notice the weight of the shoes even after walking all day. The materials are breathable
and keep my feet nice and cool. The insole the shoes come with is nice and are perfectly acceptable for daily use. The only thing I don't like about these NB Fresh Foam V5's
is the curved banana shape. Due to the rounded bottom sole, it causes me to lean more on my heels when standing stationary. I am unsure if that's intentional, ... Show more

These are incredibly comfortable! The amount of cushion and the rocker on these shoes makes running easier. The second you put these shoes on you feel like running, they
almost push you forward and momentum is created quickly. The trampoline effect is nice but not so much that you feel uncomfortable or off balance. That being said these
are only for running. Any lateral movement feels like I could roll an ankle more easily, although I’m use to very flat footwear. The cushion makes this a very comfortable shoe
but it’s not super fast. It’s more about going and going far at a more steady pace.

Miles better than the v4
24 August 2024
So much better than the v4. With the v4 I would get blisters on the inside of my arch on either foot because it rose up so high and put too much pressure on my foot. This one has a less pronounced arch in that section and is so much more comfortable. Now, the toe box does feel slightly narrower than the v4 even though it looks the same. I believe it’s because the upper is thicker and fits tighter rather than actually having less room. Still very plush and feels good on my feet and helps my knees after a long week of running. Would probably buy again, but I’d rather just use 1080v13s as a recovery paired with my rebelv3s (haven’t had fours yet) and my sc trainers as my normal rotation.... Show more

Okay-ish
4 September 2024
I have a pair of More v3 that I have worn the soles off of. I love them so much I wanted to purchase them again. I got a pair of v4 and was sorely disappointed. Pointed toe, narrow toe box and midfoot, wonky heel. Very disappointed, rarely worn. I waited and waited for v5. Disclosure: I am a woman with very wide, high arch, high volume feet. In women's size, high volume feet automatically equal fat. This is not the case, but society, man. My More v3s are women's 8 1/2 wide. Fit like a dream. But, much like all shoe companies that now cater to the youth because dad fashion is now popular with the kids, NB has systematically narrowed every new version of every shoe they have put out the last few years. I am now in a men's 7 1/2 xtra wide. These v5s are much better ... MoreI have a pair of More v3 that I have worn the soles off of. I love them so much I wanted to purchase them again. I am now in a men's 7 1/2 xtra wide. These v5s are much better than v4. The foam is soft and squishy and if you have a job where you stand and walk around all day, these are for you. While they look wider than the v4 because they don't have a pointed toe, they really aren't. The upper of this shoe is where my beef lies. I don't know if it's the gusset they used for the tongue or it's the upper themselves, but whatever kind of NASA produced elastic NB used, is absurdly tight. The tightest section is right across my midfoot, so I'm apt to believe it's where the tongue is attached. I get that the uppers are what hold your feet down when you're working with shoes with this kind of foam, but the way this elastic sucks your foot in could tether an astronaut to the space station. There's hardly any volume as a result. If you take out the insole, it's the perfect shoe. But I think the insole adds a lot of the cushion, thus defeating the purpose of the ultra plush comfort. If they could fix the upper on this and combine v3 upper with the bottom of v5, this would be the absolute perfect shoe created. I'd go back to my v3s, but they about busted after wearing them for all this time. Not sure what I'll do, but maybe wait for the v6 and hope they loosen up this elastic on the uppers... Show more

Perfect walking shoe for an old man like me
28 September 2024
Great walking shoe in every way for my neuropathy issues. It's ultra ultra ultra ultra ultra cushioned and comes really close to having enough arch support without having to buy an expensive insert. The new design is better than the previous v4's which were, themselves, very good shoes. Even so, I wouldn't recommend either the v4's or the new v5's for any athletic endeavor beyond just going for a walk. They are far to large in width and in length and in height and in weight for running fast or making sharp turns. But when I go for a walk, I don't feel anything underfoot. Street debris is easily swallowed up by the ridiculous amount of foam. It's like walking on clouds. Pinky toe killer. Wide footers beware!
28 September 2024
I can wear standard width shoes with no issues. This is an extremely narrow fitting shoe. I got this in the wide version and my toes feel cramped. I couldn’t imagine how worse it would be if I got the standard width. I’ll only recommend this shoe if you have narrow feet. Otherwise, avoid at all costs. Since the product is already worn, I can no longer return these shoes, but if permitted, I’d return these in a heartbeat.... Show more

Review of the fresh foam x more v5
29 July 2024
Positives -1st - looks are not as bulky as seen online better in person. 2nd - mesh is soft not scratchy. 3rd - there a gusset tongue that keeps tongue in place . 4th - true to size length wise. Negatives - 1st - width near toes is somewhat narrow. 2nd - outsole rubber is a harder compound clunky. 3rd - midsole pancakes nothing like more v4 foam. 4th - outsole midsole creases . First off take a flashlight look in side of shoe with insole out there’s a very rough area that was blue near inside end of shoe in toe area it’s very rough so if toes are tight they will rub and get irritated guessing connected to the gusset tongue. I am a true to size 10 2E which is wide it fit true to size length and width but toe area was tight and toes rubbed when walking as shoe midsole ... MorePositives -1st - looks are not as bulky as seen online better in person. 2nd - mesh is soft not scratchy. 3rd - there a gusset tongue that keeps tongue in place . 4th - true to size length wise. I am a true to size 10 2E which is wide it fit true to size length and width but toe area was tight and toes rubbed when walking as shoe midsole compressed . Step in feel is misleading great till it pancakes after a wearing for alittle bit . Guess for shorter lighter folks/ ladies and gents maybe midsole is more resistant. But anyone above a certain weight not so much it was clunky loud when on hard surfaces . I am a true believer in the fresh foam x and new balance brand but foam that flattens is not a good everyday shoe in any means. Alittle disappointing and disappointed there was no resistance to the foam in the more v5 I tried which was the black with grey bottom unless it was defective which I doudt in this case just being released . Going up I know would not work . And going wider would not be good either . So sadly I had to return just is one of them it won’t work for me . No incentive bought and had to return my toes wore sore within no time hardly wore just didn’t work period... Show more

Rivals Hoka
29 July 2024
I got my new balance fresh foam and have been able to try them In different settings. Let me tell you, this is a great shoe. I’ve used them on hikes, in the gym, and for just normal daily wear. They are super durable, high quality and offer incredible support. They definitely come close to rivaling hokas! My only gripe about them is the style… the soles are pretty huge so it does look like blocks on your feet, but that’s a small price to pay for comfort. I highly recommend these for the active man... Soft Ride
20 August 2024
They are a soft ride. They are enormous. Size not so noticeable in the black over grey. Not unstable for me. They are breathable. Not for serious running. The best foam I ever had that made me feel like running along with walking was NB SC Trainer v1. I tried both on at the same time and the ride felt very very similar but the SC Trainer v1 looks normal size compared to the More v5. I always get a half size up and wide in NB. Glad I did. Still a little bit restrictive in the toe box as many NB shoes are for me no matter what size they are......but they are a keeper.... Show more
