I was very disappointed that these shoes did not fit true to size. I typically wear a 7 in running shoes. I have the NB FuelCell Propels in a 7 and they fit perfectly. I figured I could get a 7 in the Rebels but I had to go up a full size, and even still they feel too big. My toes were at the very end of the 7s and 7.5s. I had to return both pairs.Other than the size, I’ve worn them a handful of times on speed and interval drills and two long runs (10k) and they feel quite good but I think I need to add an insole or wear thicker socks.Overall they are light, somewhat cushioned and add a bit of a spring to your step. I’ll likely keep these as an alternative and look for something else.

These shoes are SO COOL. I run a lot and I feel it’s really hard to find stylish running shoes, a lot of them look like the brand has used the same colors since 1992. These are very sick, and that is the only good thing I could say about them.My regular shoe size is 6.5 and running shoe size is 7. My usual NB shoe is 1080 but every year it’s so dissimilar from the year before, this year it’s a mushy mess so I thought I’d try something else.I live in a small town and we only have a sporting goods store here so I tried every NB running shoe on and ordered 6.5. My toes were curling under, it was too small in length. Ordered 7. Guys, it is like I have a freaking extra inch of room side to side AND in length. I cannot understand it. It is to the point that i have checked the box several times to make sure I didn’t get a men’s shoe, or the wrong size. I would roll my ankle if I ran in these because the upper is barely touching my foot anywhere besides the heel, even after cinching the laces. The 6.5 was too small and the 7 is HUGE. HOW CAN THAT BE?In the past 3-4 years NB is all over the place with sizing and widths and to me it is just a sign of depreciating quality. For $140, fit should be a no-brainer, I didn’t even make it past that to evaluate the shoe.

I never ever wear New Balance Shoes, until over this weekend's half marathon race! Well to my surprise, I love the high arch and the cushion. The shoe is lite and comfortable. I love this shoe and want another pair. The toe box is wide and love the color. I did go with a size 8 but exchanged them for 8.5 in another color because the color I did want, was not in my size. I want to know if I should go even to a nine. I am thinking my next pair will be an 9. I hope to stay with this shoe and it will not break down so quick. This is a new brand for me compared to the other running shoes I wear~~

Springiest shoes I’ve ever had. Love them so much. Literally took minutes off my 5km time. Some things to note re comfort: not suitable for walking, only running, because the heel part of the shoe has little support and my heel just kind of sinks into the ground when walking.Laces are a bit short- I can’t do runners knotToe part is pretty wide which I like but might not be everyone.Fabric is very airy which makes them nice and cool.Overall very comfortable, soft and springy. My feet never hurt in these
Very light and comfortable. I bought it in wide, and it is super comfortable for my slightly wide feet. The extra fabric is not really a problem in the wide, it is just roomy and good to spread toes out. But the shoes caused my current plantar fascitis pain to flare up really badly while I was walking with it at the mall. Maybe if it is used for running with more of a midfoot or fore foot landing, it would be better. I will keep it and use it for future running and see how it feels then. But for now, I need to stick to zero drop shoes to keep my pain levels down. My new trail Altras don't seem to cause as much of a plantar fascitis pain when walking, so I will use those until the pain is gone.
These shoes are great!Size: I did originally order a size 10, which I wear in literally every shoe brand I’ve ever tried (including other new balance), and it was too small. I returned for a 10.5. So, definitely size up!Use: I run about 18-30 miles a week, mostly 4-7 mile runs. I’m not very fast (about 9-10 minute miles for easy days). Some reviews online said to use these for “tempo” days or speed work; I disagree. They are well cushioned and work for the speed I run at, and are great daily trainers. However if you prefer a firm shoe, these aren’t that.I definitely recommend these shoes!
I love Rebel 3 for tempos, longer races (half marathon) and even longer interval track workouts. The V4 feels less speedier bc of extra cushioning and a wider base. It is better as a daily trainer and for long runs. I ran 9 miles in these out of the box and no issues. Upper is more breathable than V3. It takes a minute to get the heel to lock down partially bc the tongue could be a little longer. Another reviewer complained the heel collar was too high, but it was great for me. I have an Achilles issue and the heel collar did not bother me. I prefer V3 bc I wanted a tempo shoe, but I really enjoy V4 and will keep it for my daily runs and long run.
I run a little over 300 miles a year (2+ mi/3 x per week) and buy New Balance running shoes due to my wide feet. I try to replace my running shoes at least once a year. I have stayed away from what I call the the jelly roll style soles, but a serious runner friend of mine said she had been told runners need to change up their running shoe styles from time to time. I don't recall why she was given this advice, but I remembered it when I made my selection this time. The change was a bit awkward when I first wore the shoes for a walk, but I knew I had made the right choice as soon as I started running. The FurlCell Rebel v4 shoes are exceptionally lightweight, and there is much less stress on my feet. I have a high instep so the balls of my feet are often tender after a run. This tenderness is only slight after I run in these shoes, and not as severe as it has been with some shoes in the past.I am so glad I took a chance and tried out a new sole. I am also thrilled my podiatrist directed me to New Balance shoes when I first began running 25 years ago.
I usually run in minimalist shoes so was pretty nervous about switching to a stacked shoe. Have to say that I do love them. The look, the bounce, I definitely feel like I’m running faster and farther in them. I tend to not give 5 stars but the undyed color choice is my favorite part. I’ve always hated the color choices for women’s running shoes. And I can finally wear my sneakers with pride. For those switching from a barefoot type shoe, the adjustment isn’t so bad— thought rolling on my ankles would be more vulnerable but hasn’t happened yet. Although you may find some getting used to it. The stack will have you using your legs and feet differently.
