I've had several pairs of 1080s and go between them and the 880s for workouts. These are great and everything I expected. Love the black and copper color. But the laces are so so stupid. Any way I tuck it in feels long and dangling. For the price I wish these would come with a an additional pair of conventional laces or option for old school laces... at the very least I wish NB made it easy to buy a pair of conventional laces that would match. I still like them, but would not buy another shoe in the future with this lace setup.

I just couldn't be happier with these Fresh Foam X 1080v12 Permafrost. I say it's true to size and the fit is perfect. Love the no-tie laces. Superb cushioning on those long runs and the weather resistance is top notch on these. They look like new with a quick wipe down. I'm looking to buy another pair now while they still have this limited edition still in stock.
These shoes are tremendous. I bought these to help my knee pain and from day 1 theres already a noticeable difference. I stand on my feet for almost 10 hours a day, and then run after work with my runners for track and I can't recommend these enough. As a former distance runner whos knees are absolutely destroyed, these are ideal if you're on your feet all day. I shoveled out my car the other day in these and my feet were bone dry. I think they run *slightly* a half size big, but I have a wide-ish foot so it is perfect for me.
Runs a perfect True to Size, which is usually the most difficult for me due to my wide feet but these are perfect! Was looking for a good walking/running shoe and ended up getting way more! These are great all around sneakers for any occasion and have that really good balance between stiffness and squish underfoot. The all white/bone colorway goes crazy on feet. Would definetly recommend !!!
These maybe my favorite pair of New Balances. They look great, the level of foam is in the Goldilocks perfect zone, and, while I haven't worn them in rain yet, they look like they'll repel rain without becoming a toe sauna. The bottom of the shoes looks fully rubberized and is totally covered unlike the Fresh Foam More, and it feels sticky and grippy walking. I thought the lacing system would be annoying, but even that is convenient. Well designed, cool looking, and functional sneakers. I would wear these all day teaching and walking to and from the subway and will be wearing them during a rainy winter vacation in Europe.
I really like the shoe. Everything about its purpose is done well. The soles grip slippery conditions very well. They are very comfy. Water does seem to roll off. I like the look. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that the front toe box foam gets malformed too easily. I returned the first pair because it was rubbing against my left big toe. The second pair has similar issues but doesn't rub against my toe. I'd expect the toe box foam to hold its form (compare to Adida Ultraboost (the toe box foam doesn't get deformed)). Other than that I like the shoe.
The shoe fits well and feels nice and light. My only issue is that it came with a strange indentation on the left shoe near my big toe. I thought it would smooth out after wearing it but it's still there and I notice it every time I wear them.
The lacing system is horrible. I have worn 1080'sFor years. I had to buy regular laces and discard the original ones. I am not a runner. I wear the shoes to work every day. I only bought this variation because it is waterproof.
