I have had these shoes when they were known under 806K1. Has something changed under the new name of 806v1 ? I dont know. What I do know is these shoes run small and tight. I recommend you order a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. These kicks will take a little time to stretch out but when they do its pretty comfortable.I have worn these all through nursing school and now on the job. They have lasted 3 years so far but are starting to show their age. I am scared to order online since they always run small so I am looking for a local place to buy again.

These shoes are tighter in the toe box area and make it very uncomfortable. Had gotten them for my son for his birthday as he's on his feet all the time as a fedex delivery person. Had purchased a pair similar before this and he loved them. Having trouble getting a return label for them. Would like to purchase the ones I got him before as they were very good.

These were so comfortable at first. The non-slip is not as great as some I have had in the past, so buyer beware. These guys held up great for about 6-8 months before becoming uncomfortable and needing replaced. With that being said, I work nonstop on my feet for 10-12 hours at a time in the restaurant industry and tend to replace my shoes once a year as is. My brother bought the same pair and has smaller feet than I do and works less hours, and he raves about them all the time. If you have a high arch, you might consider insoles/inserts as well for these.

These shoes are unwearable without an arch support. I have flat feet, but these have so little arch support I had to buy a $50 insole, then making them a little tight height-wise. Other than that, they're as advertized, pretty impermeable/unbreatheable, suitable for climate-controlled indoor work where you want to be able to wipe them off, eg nursing. They look pretty sharp.
I placed these shoes in my boyfriend's cart because he's on his feet and moving around on various surfaces all day with work. We picked the wife option so his foot would have enough space to move and breathe. He loves them. He wears his other New Balance sneakers to serve their purpose, but these do as they are intended. They provide slip resistance, durability, and comfortability while at work. And, they provide some fashionability and style to his outfit as well. He's a fan, and I am too.
I’ve routinely bought New Balance as their shoe sizing has been consistent. No longer. I bought the same size I’ve always bought - the moment I took these out of the box I could see they were too small despite the labelled size. New Balance sneakers typically have some substance to them; they feel substantial in your hand. These sneakers feel fragile and insubstantial. To make matters worse, they're not true to size. I ordered the size I typically wear and got them in wide width for extra measure. They are so narrow that I can't wear them with normal socks or they won't fit. This is not what I expected from the brand, and I am highly disappointed with the product.
Why is is EVERY company that make non slip shoes sneakers for the kitchen make them so uncomfortable. Every other pair of new balance I owned were amazing. Get the non slip and the soles are hard and painful to wear. I ordered these because I expected the comfort of new balance shoes. I am so disappointed and they need to consider that people who wear these are on their feet 8 to 16 hours a day so comfort is key. Shame on you New Balance.
I agree with ratings that comment on the size, these shoes seem to run tight. My issue is the workmanship of the non-slip layer of the shoe. the bottom black non-slip later is coming apart from the regular sole. It's as if someone forgot to put the good glue on the shoe. I haven't had this issue with new balance shoes until they are like 1.5 years old or in that range, but this was after 4 months or less i noticed.
